THR Happy, hippy, Christine

Feeling better today, pain does now seem to be settling---I forgot (yesterday) that it was only a few days since I joined the OIDC :heehee: as it seemed like ages ago! Sun is shining, so mood is lighter, and I've walked the drive with 2 sticks this morning, followed by an ever hopeful dog with a ball in it's mouth:puppysmooze: :). Happy Sunday to everyone

Happy Monday to all Bonesmarties :loveshwr::flwrysmile:
Bright, chilly morning here.
I am looking forward to going out in a friend's car this afternoon for 'afternoon tea' - my first trip out of our home , apart from wound check, in 4 weeks :happydance:
Going to cashpoint first as I hate being without money in my purse, so that will be first trip really, :heehee:

Enjoy your cream tea... nom nom nom [emoji3590][emoji3590]

Have had a wonderful day :loveshwr:, although the cream tea turned into fish and chips, bread and butter and a pot of tea (a very traditional English sea-side treat) :yes!: as the cream-tea cafe was closed!
Walked well with one stick and no pain, so now going to ice and elevate :yay: and read a book.......

Fabulous!! Pity you were surprised by a Monday closing but sounds like you found a great alternative! I hope you had a nice chat as well.

Another busy afternoon with another 2 friends visiting, walked slowly outside with 2 sticks for about an hour, so well pleased with my progress. Continuing with all Bonesmart suggestions and feel really good-- slow and steady wins the race!!!

Thanks @ Hoppy nanny, having lurked on here for a few months b4 surgery, I'm glad that I decided to have it done sooner rather than later, so the post-op soreness is now settling and I think already that my ROM is better than prior to op :fingersx:

You sound to be doing great.
This summer is going to be sweet:SUNsmile:

Happy One Month Anniversary!
You're doing so well @mollymum
Lunch and tea outings with friends, walks, soreness settling, ROM improving....it's all good! :happydance: :dancy:
Keep it going! :yes!:

Thanks @layla,@Hoppy Nanny, had a day of running to the loo yesterday (following TOO much laxative use ) but all has settled today and I'm managing without codeine so hopefully everything else will be OK.
Otherwise all is good except for cabin fever!

Enjoy your day, @mollymum Hope your weather allows for a bit of outside the cabin. Cabin fever is real!

Gosh, its cold outside! Have managed a walk to the post box (about 1 k there & back) --glad I put on my winter coat:yikes: and glad to be home for R & R :ok:..................

Here we are on May Bank Holiday Monday (UK) and it's still cold!!

My granny always said 'don't cast a clout 'till May is out'-- meaning don't take off your winter clothes :heehee: (or fill the wardrobe with summer stuff, like I did before surgery, in case we had an early spring!) so I'm back in my winter woolies.
It was so cold yesterday, I lit the log fire:snow plough:

Hope everyone is feeling rested iced, and pain-free this afternoon, and thank you all for the support this forum provides.

I am feeling OK, still walking with 1 stick, and having a bit of buttock discomfort.
I can see an improvement with each week that passes, and that is good enough for me :yes!:
