Happy One Week Anniversary!
Walking unassisted! :wowspring: Good for you :yay: that's wonderful progress!

Consider Magnesium for the cramps if they continue. It can be beneficial for cramps and spasms.
Magnesium supports the following:
Bone health
Healthy blood sugar
Cardiovascular health
Muscle relaxation and nerves
Promotes healthy sleep (falling asleep and staying asleep)

I can walk unassisted but still using cane outside

:wowspring: is right! I can quarantee you I will NOT be posting anything similar tomorrow! Are you able to do this without limping?

Pretty much not limping unless I’m tired. I walk slowly-heel toe.
I need to figure out how to copy paste just parts of posts. Thanks:)

Happy one week anniversary!!! You are doing amazing. Lunch date! Sitting outside! You will be dancing soon. :loveshwr:

So due to muscular discomfort in groin area I decided to scale back to the beginning of this recuperating journey and just rest... all day. I did sit outside in the sunshine with my faithful pup Magnolia and her cat brother Brody. Sun felt SO good. Took magnesium again so hoping for some relief from this muscle pain. Watching the Masters golf tournament. Hopefully you’re all having a lovely weekend.

@SE Florida Thank goodness for gel ice packs. I was able to wedge one in the crease of my groin/upper thigh and it has helped a bit. I will keep that going over the next few hours. I obviously had hoped my ice craving pain would be gone by your stage but I guess I just need to accept it.

I know @Carriemay60 I figured by week 6, I'd be good to go.............snicker! I just have to go back and read some of the posts and realize that at 6 weeks or 6 months, we're all still in the healing phase. My incision and surrounding area are just now becoming a little on the sore side. It was pretty numb before I guess. So I've been using ice more at night again when I get in bed. And aaaahhhhhhhh, it's still my best friend! It gets better everyday so we all need a huge refill of patience! :console2:

Thigh pain much less after 2 days of resting and stretching. Walking pretty well without cane and not limping:). I do get fatigued though so I’m keeping a check on my activity- today took dog to agility but obviously couldn’t run her ( had a friend pace her through her tunnels and jumps)... rested for an hour then went shopping with a friend... now my afternoon treat-sitting with legs up having tea ️. I’m seeing light at the end of this

Good job, @beachlily Take care of yourself as you are progressing through this. Cheers! Enjoy your tea and chocolate!

Honestly @beachlily I really don't know how you do it. You aren't even a full 2 weeks post-op and you're already out shopping. I don't know if I want to say "good for you" or "you are way over-doing it"! It sure goes to show how different all of our recoveries are. So keep up the good work but stay with the ice and elevating so we won't all be worried about you!!! On the lighter side, how about those Masters yesterday!
