Wow! You were able to sleep on your op side? Amazing!
I think it took me a few months to muster up the courage.
I hope you have a good PT session and a great day!

@beachlily

I made an error! I slept on non operated leg with operated leg on top with pillow. Apparently meds made me loopy;)

Nurse came today-just to check on my progress. Physical therapy also came- checked my crutches and said to rest /walk in house every hour or so and if I feel up to it a few leg strengthening exercises. I’m happy the PT wasn’t aggressive in approach. Toughest part for me is getting to the bathroom quickly enough. I might try panty liners for a while. Sorry Too much information. Hahaha

Can’t tell you how many pads I got through the first week!!!
Always nearly made the potty but not quite ... eek! only for a short while though.. back to normal now my bladder is restored to normal functions!

This is a group that shares xrays and lab results. I'm not sure where the TMI line is!

I don't think there is a line. Did ya see the article on "Sex talking about sex after hip surgery"?
Makes me laugh like a prepubescent girl every time. Shows my level of maturity :heehee:

Rough start to the day-pain went from 1to a 4. And I had a bit of a nausea stomach ( thank goodness that stopped with toast)! As for the discomfort, I think I was just stiff from the night ... felt better as day progressed and I moved a bit plus took my Tylenol. Got my shower chair today ( thanks Amazon) so looking forward to washing my hair!!!!

Glad you are feeling better this evening. Hope you can have a restful night and a peaceful morning. ((Hugs))

Hang in there @beachlily
It's going to get easier...:yes:
I had some nausea and no appetite for first week after surgery...even Tylenol needs something to lay on in your stomach so glad you were able to nibble some toast.
I got my DH to get me bags of grapes to nibble on...Sweet red, tart green, white table grapes....easy to nibble on and helped some with constipation issues.

All Temporary....healing hugs for a better day!:angel:

@beachlily Hang in there; you sound like you are doing great! I am just having a cup of sugary tea and some ginger biscuits to give my meds something to sit on. I find that makes a big difference. Happy to see you got home so quick!
