Revision THR Another Second Chance

I hate that you are a 1%'er...
I did google, and yeah, try not to do that or project.
You are a strong person and I know this Has to be nerve wracking.
Do choose your nutrition carefully and keep that immune system cranking.
By the by, stress is terrible on our immune systems!
Sending all the best Mojo your way, @inthebeginning !

I understand this is easier said than done, but try not to Google.
@inthebeginning
Of course I told doc that I had been researching on the internet. He told me ,”as your doctor, I wouldn’t recommend that!”

I actually felt it allowed me to have a more meaningful conversation with him. That makes me feel better at the end of the day. Even though there is a lot of bad stuff out there... it’s just like anything in life, there’s also a lot of good stuff to balance it out. We see that right here on this forum everyday! For every story about a setback or delay, there’s someone that’s cruising through recovery. I happen to be doing both right now! :spin:

Good Morning @inthebeginning
Many of us will be thinking of you today. Hoping you get all your questions answered.
Please update us afterward...if you care to share. We're here for you.

Another full night in my own bed! That’s three in a row! I think this is a permanent move now.

Today I will try to cut the Tramadol. I just passed my scheduled morning med time and only took Tylenol. Fingers crossed!

I will be seeing the infectious control doc later this AM. Will let you all know what’s going on. It’s funny how I was gone for over 5 years since the first hip. Suddenly I pop in last month and am welcomed with open arms! Thank you all son much. I am getting tons of support from home and family but to have all of you...you’ve all been here and have such a deeper understanding. It really makes a difference.

Thank You!

Wonderful about your full night in bed, that's a huge improvement! It's been a real pleasure having you on here sharing your journey; we're here for you! Anxious to hear about your doctor's visit today.......hopefully a quick fix will be in store for you!

UPDATE

Infectious Control doc thinks we sit and give it two weeks. He’s not completely sold that there’s anything going on in there. Because only one of the samples has cultured into a positive and there was no positive from the earlier aspiration, he feels it’s probably nothing.

So, normal 2 week follow up with OS next Monday then Infection follow-up in 2 weeks. Hopefully the OS will release me to PT next week!

Well shoot!! I was so hopeful you would come back as a false alarm! As you go through this, always keep your glass half full (Guiness anyone?) but if you have the power to err on the side of caution with antibiotic, I say jump at it! I will keep your stool warm at the bar unless I hear it's one of those 'everyone gets pregnant stools'; in that case I will leave @59billy in charge!

Haven’t seen this since the day before the operation! My Fitbit goal is the standard 10,000 steps per day. It’s currently 1800 hours and I’m watching Jeopardy. Let’s see if I make it!

He didn’t say it wasn’t, it seemed like he almost wanted to put it that way. He was very positive about it not being a major concern at this time.
So, of course, the wife and I celebrated with a special lunch! We went to the German restaurant where we had our rehearsal dinner 18 years ago when we got married!
