Revision TKR Story of My Knees by RestAssured: Pt 3

Hello Everyone! :happydance:

At this point I am just playing with and adjusting my portfolio! It is all but finished!!!! :happydance:

My hubby turned 44 today so I baked him a cake and he is coming home early.

"Now for the biggest news of the day........". My knee did a great job in PT today! It is getting stronger and it has decided to act better, I am hoping forever! :happydance:
I forgot to tell you Jacky that he says "I robbed the cradle!". With him being 3 years younger than me. I told him statistiss sayI should have married a man 7 years younger,
I wouldn't be alone because we would live to be the same age! Hmmm somehow the robbing the cradle and all was funny to both of us! :rotfl:

Well, they have had plenty of time! I would start "raising the roof" if I were you! :gaah: Take care of yourself. We want you to get the best treatment possible so you can feel like you are 32 again! :happydance:

Sorry to hear about that pesky kmeecap. Just like kids when you bragg they act up. At least you were ready.

Yep Vicki,

I am frustrating the heck of of hubby! I'm sorry, but if I'm not in pain at the time, I forget and leave my crutches in the living room, dining room, or bedroom! He almost tripped over them in the living room tonight and threatened to twist them into pretzels. I came into the room asked where he put them and he said, I threw them away. I told him I knew better and I looked in the foyer and there they were. I know he is frustrated, but what about me! :gaah: I have been through 3 knee surguries, am working in PT to avoid what I hope will be the 4th and he gets after me! Kelly, I was so glad to read a story from your perspective on Natalie's thread! It helps me a lot but I still wish sometimes he would listen better. skigirl

Just don't do anything that makes me get this sign out to put on your lawn

. Follow the rules and regs, don't do stupid stuff, and stay your charming self.

That made me chuckle, Judy! Spot on'. :-)

Well now Pooshay, I would never have a need for a sign like that in my yard, I think Judy was thinking of someone else when she wrote that! :heehee:

Anyway, I turned in my portfolio project today, did my evaluation of the class, so let the partying commence! :happydance:

I think this sign can be used for many here not just Sonja....not saying I am included in this of course...

Sonja, we both know that trying to get a man to listen is an uphill battle. I think you need an electronic alert on your crutches. If you get more than four feet away from them, they will beep, beep and call you back!!

Seriously, as the spouse of someone who is chronically ill, I know that it is tough. There are just some days that I want to wake up and have somebody like Little Mary Sunshine in my house instead of a litany of what hurts today. But, we get what we have!!! and we have to make our peace with it.

I totally understand your fight right now---I also want to avoid any more surgery on this leg. I almost feel that I would not be able to rehab it again. This time around, I have been 8 weeks with almost no activity. I think you have had a similar problem with your rehab this time. I am so weak compared to my normal strong self. You were doing so well before the surgery--and I am sure you understand the frustration of being so behind. And, it takes forever to come back.

This is the first time that I feel like I am really 68. I have been doing 2 hour workouts every Mon, Wed, Frid for the last month---I can see myself getting stronger, but I am still weak!!! You also have a long road in front of you and it is not fun. We have to continue to work so hard while keeping some amount of sanity while we do it. But, what choice do we have?

i just read a post on Margaret's thread where the poster said that she wanted a refund on her body. yes!! I agree, I want a new body that looks like JLO while I am at it!! Kelly

Hey sis, if you don't stick with your crutches I may have to call your celebration off!:headbang: Can you imagine if your hubby trip over your crutches and he broke a hip or his neck, who the heck would take care of you then! You'd have to be his care giver! Could you imagine you with crutches and him in a wheel chair?!

This is a message from your local, "Scared Straight" & "Tough Love" Association!:yikes:

Love you sis, stay safe! For Godsakes! Don't make me start crying over you!:beg:

Well, I am back to throwing everything I eat right back up! The insurance company said they would only approve 90 pills every 68 days! I am taking 3 a day to keep food down. I ran out yesterday, and found my promethezine and tried doubling the dosage but it doesn't work. The generic of Zofran for 90 pills is 540.00! Tomorrow, my hubby and his HR dept. will be talking. I need the medicine! I am miserable! :gaah:

You poor, poor dear! You must be sooo weary of all of this. I do hope that talking to HR helps and that you can get the meds that you need. Hang in there! ((((((hugs))))))
