Revision TKR possibly allergic reaction to knee replacement

Ok so I have the wipes called CGH wipes that I m to start using tonite and do every nite till the day of surgery,instead of the previous surgery soap. So I did just that tonite after a shower,followed directions to the T and low and behold,I m having an allergic reaction to these wipes. I m getting a very bad rash,skin is burning and now on my neck is swelling. So I m going to take benadryl tonite and have a message in to my os

I'm so sorry you just keep running into all these problems with allergic reactions. I hope the OS will have you use something different so you just clean the area and not inflame it.

Thanks. Hopefully I will hear tomorrow. I have always had sensitive skin, couldn't use just anything but even hubby said he has noticed that things have gotten worse since my knee is in. So mayb with it in everything is lowered. I m ready for it to b over now,lol

So I just got off the phone and I m to b at the hospital at 11:25am on monday. I can't believe that finally after all these years I finally found a surgeon, thanks to u guys,that can help me and I can hopefully get on with a life that I can do things.

Hell9 my knee friends. How r u doing? I wanted to let anyone know. I m doing ok. Had the surgery he took me in at 1:30 pm and wasn't done till 5pm. Because of my constant falling I m not allowed to get up at all for myself

I'm glad your surgery is done. I hope you can soon start to pee again - probably when the spinal wears off.
I know you've already has a knee replacement, but it was a while ago so here is the recovery reading list again:
First are the BoneSmart mantras ....
-rest, elevate, ice and take your pain meds by the clock
- if it hurts, don't do it and don't allow anyone - especially a physiotherapist (PT) - to do it to you. Exercise only gently
- if your leg swells more or gets stiffer in the 24 hours after doing it, don't do it again
- if you won't die if it's not done, don't do it
- never stand when you can sit, never sit when you can lie down, never stay awake when you can go to sleep!
- be active as much as you need to be but not more than is necessary, meaning so much that you end up being in pain, exhausted or desperate to sit down or lie down!
