I'm happy that you are doing so well. Isn't it amazing how much better it seems after the revision even so soon after surgery? Make sure you don't overdo and give your knee plenty of time to heal. It's already been through so much already.

How are you getting along? Does this knee feel better than the old one? I hope everything is going well. Feel free to text or call if you want.

I'm glad to to hear that you're home and doing OK.
Your job now is to be kind to yourself and kind to your knee, with lots of this:  :ice: :elevate: :chillpill:

Ok so quick question for ya. As of yesturday I m a week post op of my total revision of my LTKR. I know healing takes awhile ,and I m obsessive worry wart but should I be worried that the incision is still pink and still a little warm, kinda feels like a mild sunburn. Thanks

No. I don't think you need to worry. It seems like a natural reaction to the trauma of the surgery.

Just read thru your whole thread. I'm glad to see you found a different OS who seems to really know their stuff.

Sending positive healing energy your way

Kazilla, thank u. He is an awesome surgeon. I m so glad I found him. I still have a walker but I m walking better, without a limp and its only been a week so we r excited to see my knee progress

I'm very glad for you there isn't any infection there. Keep an eye on it for any changes.

I know same here. But now for some reason I have a muscle on the outer side of my knee acts up everytime I bend my leg,and on the pain scale level when it does this ,the number would b an 8. And that is with pain meds. I don't know if it is just waking up or what. And I hate to call the doctors office ,just cause I feel like a bother.

You should never feel like a bother. They are there to help their patients. If you have a question then call them. If your home nurse didn't call OS about your incision bleeding I would let them know about that too.

My home nurse was calling them today, this morning actually. The doctors office have never said I was a bother,I just feel that way but I will try to put my worries aside and call them today, thanks again my friend

Hello everyone. It has now been 3.5 wks. Since my total knee replacement revision. Things were way worse then he thought. I had severe metallosis and the knee replacement part of the lower bone wasn't even attached to anything, the only thing the cement was attached to was the bone itself. Os said I was severely allergic to my knee replacement, the nickel, and it is rare to find such a severe reaction. All in all I m slowly making progress. I m now walking with a cane and on monday going to my first out patient therapy. This knee feels tons better right from the start.
