Hi Dogwheels and Jozilla so right about the weather Chris it's horrible,you have tons of time to be a YiaYia my dil is 39.I love Venice Jozilla but it is a love or hate city and of course always very busy.

@Josephine just wonder if you have any idea if the pain I'm getting in my left hip and groin is caused by my knee. It's my left side and need a TKR on that knee that will be done in January. The pain in my hip comes and goes, worse on walking. Done loads of walking this week and it seems to have set it off. I get pain and locking in my knee and pain at night. Would be interested in your opinion. Many thanks.

I have that same type of hip pain in the leg where the knee will be replaced in September. My other leg was straightened so I think I am twisting it when I walk. It will be interesting hearing what others say.

@yiayia I don't think there's any doubt the pain is being caused by your knee. There's bound to be some imbalance when the knee is damaged. But why are you waiting till January to have it done?

That's interesting Jozilla I wonder if when my knee locks it's causing the pain in my hip,hope your well otherwise,still waiting for grandson number 4 due date is tomorrow looks like it will be a big baby

Thanks Josephine thought so I have a large bone spur on that knee also.I had my RTkR in January and found it a good time to have it done,also a bit of a wimp,But may have to change my mind.

Thought I would find my own thread for a change,so feel for you @Ellejay I have also had a very bad day, knee and hip so painful and hubby very impressed that I can move my kneecap from side to side,not sure if this is normal,the good news is my new knee is great so I will count my blessings.Hope you all have a nice evening and sleep well x

I'm so sorry you have also had a bad time @yiayia3, it's just so frustrating isn't it, when the new knees are so strong and so good, that we are still in pain. I hope you improve soon, we'll think of each other in our blankets in France. Let's just hope that we get some sunshine that will make us both feel better.

Hi all,well feeling good this morning apart from a very sore knee,my own fault was dancing a lot last night.
The surprise party went like a dream hubby had no idea and was delighted,he was so pleased to see many old friends and loved the Greek dancing,can relax now but so pleased I did it.My eldest son an amputee was dancing all night so proud of him,puts me to shame.
Special thoughts to @Karringtyn and @Gingiebot do hope your both feeling better.
Hope you have had a great holiday @Nana moon 27 and @Judlepip hope you had a wonderful party.
Got a busy day packing the motorhome for France but maybe leave it all till tomorrow see how it goes.

Glad the party went well Terri, and hubby enjoyed the surprise. Sorry your knee didn't enjoy the dancing.

Take it easy packing for your trip and don't overdo. Hope you have a super time and the knee and hip don't play you up too much.

Hi everyone home today after a great trip.We had a lovely time in France and Spain weather great lots of nice food and wonderful Rioja.New knee behaved very well a few aches and pains but did a lot of walking,left knee good and bad days and nights but still managed to enjoy,will see how it goes now seeing O.S in December but sooner if I need too. Hope your all well and pain free

Welcome home @yiayia3, don't rush into the washing and cleaning, enjoy some relaxation for a while. I'm glad your new knee behaved itself. We had ten days at home and are now out in the van again, this time to Devon. I'm certainly missing that French sunshine! Xxx

Hi @Ellejay We got the ferry to Plymouth on Thursday stayed in Plymouth then Dorset weather was terrible high winds and heavy rain hope it's better for you enjoy x

Hi @Nana moon 27 thank you for asking about Oscar he is doing very well apart from getting a rash dr thinks it may be an allergy he is now 13lb so getting a big boy.

Doing fairly well thanks, all things considered. The back is probably the main pain, but I have also asked for a referral to have my other knee replaced! I never thought I would even whisper those words, let alone write them. At least I know what I will be letting myself in for this time.
Various family issues which are annoying but who doesn't have things like that?
Now nearly one year post RTKR and apart from the occasional twinge and the fact that I simply can't ride my bike (it's too much for my TKR) I'm doing good and have no regrets at all.
I'm not long back from a 17 night cruise around the Mediterranean & Adriatic which would have been unthinkable a couple of years ago. Husband stayed at home with the dog and the hens as he wasn't bothered about the cruise idea!
Good to read that you've been able to get on and enjoy your life too.
Strange that an Alert from you popped into my Inbox this morning and yet I've had nothing for ages. That prompted me to also write to another colleague on here. We had our TKR's on the very same day last year.

Wow, he is blossoming isn't he @yiayia3 ? Lovely to hear he's doing so well. The time flies so fast. Last week my eldest grandson was 19, today my second grandson is 18! And I don't know where those years went. Fast doesn't even begin to describe it x x x xx
