I am glad to hear of your progress! @Minnie's knees. Some things that have worked for me here in sunny San Diego area. My husband put the sectional in the family room up on 4 in. blocks under each leg of the sofa. It has made getting up and down much easier. However I have also sat on a lower chair and this morning it cause no issues. I was at 77 ROM yesterday with physical therapist so work to do there . She didn't say anything about extension other than to say we have work to do to get to 90, which is goal when I see OS on 5 November for 2 week exam. She said that quad sets are your best friends when it comes to improving the extension; she emphasized that even more than flexion. She said you cannot do too many quad sets. So while I am in lying down position I am doing as many quad sets as I can tolerate. I have been sleeping on the sectional and have had great results both with positioning an actual asleep. I have my meds on a timer/alarm so I can assess pain before taking them but not miss a dose during the day or while sleeping. Just yesterday I scaled-back the number of meds I am taking from two every four hours to one every three hours, and supplement with 325 mg of Tylenol every other dose. I started that last night and had no significant increase in pain as a result, and slept very well between alarms So far I am very pleased with the recovery, but I understand that it is slow and steady that wins this race. It is the turtle in the turtle and hare story.
