Oh. I kind-of also think they are checking all the boxes but would be happy for you if it gave some relief.
They mentioned injections for me prior to OS giving me my definitive diagnosis.
When will you go, do you know?

Hi @Mojo333, I’ve not had an appointment through for the injection yet. I imagine it will be a few weeks before I hear anything.

Been really busy this week, and not sleeping to good again. I’ve been managing to get by on 4hrs a night which is now starting to take its toll. I guess it’s because I’m usually very active and I’m not burning off any energy being immobile most of the time.

On a brighter note, I’m going pike fishing with a friend tomorrow. Hopefully the early start and a full day of fresh air will sort me out. I won’t sleep well tonight though. I always get excited about going fishing. Like a 5 year old on Christmas Eve

Oh me too, about the fishing. That sounds like so much fun.
I don't know why everything is wait wait wait with medical folk.
They really don't get the pain is so wearying and puts you in so much worse physical shape.
Well catch a pile 'o pike. Fresh fish, omega fatty acids, great for our joints!

Well, I didn’t manage to catch any pike. Guess they didn’t want any dinner yesterday, all sulking at the bottom of the lake about something or other, it doesn’t take much, they are pretty moody. But I did see the sun come up and go down again. Which looks like it’s reset my body clock, I slept like a baby last night. Let’s hope it lasts.

Not had any news as yet. It usually takes about a month for the appointment to come through then a couple of weeks for the injection. The health service over here is under a lot of strain at the moment with the flu season being really bad and a lot on none essential services are being put back. I’ve been really busy at work this week and sat down a lot which isn’t helping. It’s pretty painful at the moment.

Hope you can find some relief @Alfie888. The flu has kicked the heck out of all the health care systems this year. Could be the worst I remember (and don’t I feel old saying that!). Glad we have separate surgical center here with it’s own set up for X-rays, mris, injections, surgeries an inpatient. Perhaps a restful weekend will help.

I read that Australia had the privilege of starting the flu epidemic. Our last flu season was horrendous. Quite a few deaths despite flu shots.

@Gidget, It is being called Aussie flu over here. I have a few friends who have had it and apparently it’s not much fun.

What a hectic week! I’ve been designing an exhibition that had to go to manufacture and print yesterday, so a lot of late nights and early mornings. Lots of sitting down which hasn’t done me any favours. It’s miserable and raining over here. So stuck indoors today. Not that it matters as I’ve slept most of it. Think I’m going to cook a big pot of chilli to see us through the weekend.

We have attributed the flu to a given country here, just the flu. Many people at my work had it. Was terrified I would come down with it prior to surgery.

Saturday has been a good sleeping day. A pot of chili sounds perfect. Hopefully this week won’t be as hectic for you @Alfie888.

Sitting too long doesn't feel good on the hips, I recall it well, then you get up

Hi @Mojo333, It's a museum exhibition about Italian immigrants over the centuries.

I'm a graphic designer. Most of my work is arts and education based. Publishing, brochures, mobile apps, websites and the likes. It's pretty varied work and get to meet some interesting people.

We have exhibits dedicated to our Italian immigrant populations also. (Not just the Mafia)
Great you get to work using your creativity.

Sorry I haven’t replied in a while. I don’t know where the time goes at the moment. I’m still really busy at work. Hopefully it should ease off this week.

I’m still not sleeping well. Tried everything in the book and nothing seems to work, apart from some tablets I got from the doc, but I can’t take them long term, and they wipe me out the next day. I’m hoping the injection will give me some relief and I can get off the pain meds for a while. Still no sign of an appointment yet!

Laid awake till 4am this morning, so I got up and went fishing again. I’m hoping it will reset my body clock for a few days at least. Can only just keep my eyes open but determined not to go to bed to early.

Why does Monday morning come around so quickly?
