Knee Infection Finally Finishing Up

I don't have any kneecaps either and you'll do just fine without one!

Best wishes, Peg. I hope the aspirate culture is negative.

I got the call from Mayo today that everything is fine with the knee. They have the allografts so we are good to go:) It is funny because while I was in getting my injection to the other knee my ID doctor came by. I had emailed her the lab results and let her know that I would be there. She told me then that the numbers were not bad but the doctors there were being extra careful. Wow...what a way to scare a person...LOL :)

That's great that the tests all were negative. You are finally coming to a well deserved end of all your knee problems.

Yay! I am so happy for you! There was a radio show in Dallas, and their motto was "Keep looking up, 'cause that's where it all is!" Every time I read one of your updates, I think about that saying. You and Jen have such strength. I'm just in awe.

Congrats!

Thank you all...it is a great relief:)
@newlybionic Who is in that great picture with you?
@L.I.T We may meet up some time! Zion is one of the parks I want to go to when I am mobile again:)

Our new RV arrives next Saturday...very excited!!!

@PegGar16, I'm excited for your new RV, too! I'm chuckling to myself, as I was so bored the first weeks of my recovery that I bought hubby and I a camper trailer! LOL

Let me know when you do make it to Zion - hopefully we'll both be in walking/hiking shape! :hiking:

@L.I.T Same here:) I have been searching on-line for a while. Hubby kept saying to wait til I was back on my feet. That worked for a year...LOL. Found a deal we couldn't resist. 2015 Itasca Spirit 31H with only 10,000 miles on it. It is about 5ft longer than I was looking for but it shouldn't be a problem driving and we won't feel claustrophobic if we have to stay in with bad weather. I can't wait to use it!!

That's my youngest daughter with me during our recent cruise to the Carribbean.

I think the only way I would go camping is to have a nice RV. I need my tv, air conditioning and soft beds. :heehee:

@newlybionic It is a great picture of the two of you:) And the new RV has all of the above!!
@nancyjo I love a good hotel..my son is an accountant at Starwood..now Marriott and sets us up nicely but unfortunately my husband doesn't like to fly. We have driven a lot around the country and love it so thought we would this a try:)

Yes, I love good hotels. I am a travel agent and love to travel. Now that I have 2 newbie knees, the world is waiting for me to explore again. Cruise/ tour to Alaska and Denali is waiting for me in May. I am ready for fun hiking and walking on a glacier again! This will be the 4th trip and first one pain free!
