@KarriB I can't wait. Besides having the new grandson to chase after my youngest son just got engaged. They are planning a Dec 2, 2017 wedding and I have to be able to dance:) Here is a Christmas picture of the baby.

It's amazing how much they can do to repair the skin so you can get ready for getting your knee fixed.

Your grandson is totally adorable. Your knee will be ready to chase after him once you both are ready.

Heard back from my OS. I will see him on January 5th. Hopefully I will get all the surgery details:)

Here is the New Year update after seeing the OS today. I am all cleared for surgery which is great but his first available is March first. This waiting game is killing me...grrrrr. That will be almost 2 years of surgeries, 1 year of no knee at all..my life has just been on hold. The nurse looked at me like I was crazy when I asked her if that was seriously the soonest date. She offered to put me on the cancellation list...but then didn't realize that there was a second surgeon involved so they have to check with her schedule also. I really don't think that they realize how hard it is to be the patient waiting and what we are going through and how emotionally draining it is to wait. When the OS is all happy to tell me we are ready to go finally it is very depressing to hear another 8 weeks.

Sorry about the rant, I am just tired of it all:)
 
Rant away. That's what we're here for. We're here to support each other. Sometimes we just need to be heard. I'll never forget the night a few weeks ago when I just vented. Two people responded. I found comfort in that. What you're going through is very brave. Try to find comfort in small things and not fight what you can't control. Sending you a big hug. Barbara

Oh my word, what a journey you`ve had. Even without the wait you must feel emotionally drained. I`m not surprised you`re tired. I do hope that a cancellation comes up very soon and that you are able to have the surgery without any of the complications you`ve had previously. Huge hugs and much admiration to you for keeping going when you must surely have felt like giving up.
 
You're on your last leg of this journey. I would have flipped out at least a year ago if I had gone through what you have. You are among a caring group here. If you need to rant, we will be glad to listen. We will also be here to celebrate with you on your successes!
 
MARCH! Holy Smokes! I'd be freaked mg out also, Peggy. This has been a long time coming and go find out you have to wait 8 weeks longer is disappointing to say the least. I'm so sorry!
 
Thank you everyone. This is just crazy. With all the prep work and procedures done I would think that a tentative date would have been saved. Oh well..there is nothing I can do about it. The big thing is I better be able to dance with my son at his wedding 12/2/17!! It is the little things in life:)
 
Yes, those little things are actually huge things!
 
I'm so sorry you have yet another wait, Peg. You've had to be patient for so long. No wonder you're fed up with it all. I would have had the screaming heebie-jeebies long before now, but you've handled it all so well.

Vent away to us. We understand, because we've been with you all along and we so wish for everything to be fixed at last.
 
I just keep thinking that it's fortunate you work from home, otherwise what would you do?
