THR Cpollock Surgery June 19, 2017<

Hi Cheryl...sorry no dinner...but whatever out of sorts your hubby has been really aggravates me....
Bet you if it were him he'd be the biggest wimp alive.
Glad you are staying positive and getting your support from a positive place.
You've been through allot and done it so gracefully. Love love your way

Thank you @Mojo333 I appreciate your kindness and support. I took today off and haven't done much. I read, did some knitting, watched a movie and played some games on my tablet. I'm going to bed at 9 which is a hour from now and hope for a good sleep.
@dougie0216 I hope your daughter in law is improving and you're doing OK.
I'm still tender and a little swollen yet but I imagine that's normal. I also am not zble to walk without an aid yet and that kind do of concerns me. It's 6 weeks on Monday. I know my OA was at the severe stage and I limped horribly but I was hoping after a month I would be able to go a short distance. It's kind of disappointing but it is what it is.
I hope I have more energy tomorrow so I can be up and about more. Today has been a blah day.
I wish you all well. Cheryl

Hi @cpollock
So sorry you weren't able to celebrate your anniversary. Hopefully you can remedy that one day soon
when the time feels right for you both.

Don't lose hope that your gait will correct itself, Cheryl I'm sure it will all work out once you're released from the walker, can use the cane and continue therapy. It definitely is a process. I'm still limping a bit myself, I notice it more if I'm tired. In the whole scheme of things we're still really early into our recovery. I guess all we can do is take one day at a time.......

Wishing you a restful evening and a great Sunday!

No wise words for here but I am glad you're by now resting. Sorry on out of sorts hubby. Very sorry. Many hugs I'd cook for you if you were closer . :chuckmarch:then I'd stomp on Mr. Out of sorts.

Stay strong and positive my friend

Cheryl congratulations on 6 weeks :yes!: you will continue to get stronger no mater how much of a butt hubby is. Oops did I say that out loud. Sorry. But I feel we need all the encouragement we can get while recovering from major surgery. Your doing great. Healing is a slow process but it is progress. Soon you will be dancing in the front room and I'm sure he will join you:friends:

Thank you @Layla for your encouragement. I'm still using the walker til Wednesday as instructed by PT but use the cane more. I test several times a day on taking steps with no aids and really limp but each day is a little better.
HI @MyAussieGirl I'm ok. Thank you the offer to cook, I would love that if only you were a little closer. I could send for you in my private jet, hehe, I wish. I am doing my best to be positive and look for things to be grateful for every day.
Congratulations to you also @Gone again 6 weeks already for us both. Today was my original surgery Date but thank goodness for getting bumped up. I could have been just starting the process and heading into surgery today. And yes I have a hubby butt especially lately but I'm Ok. Today is the official day to being able to drive. That's huge. Yay.
I wish everyone well. Cheryl

I wish I could fly you here @MyAussieGirl like most of us it's out of our means. And yes we would talk til the cows come home, hehe
Yay to the driving @Donnarita, I feel like I've been let out of jail. Just knowing I can hop in the car anytime feels great.
You have been enjoying encouraging yourself and thank you for that @313Lola It is what it is at home but I'm managing OK. I'm looking forward to see the OS tomorrow, I will need to be up and dressed and out the door by 8. PT at 9 and OS at 10. Both appointments are in the hospital but at opposite ends so I will get my exercise.
I wish you all well. Cheryl

Prayers for great appointments. Sounds like a full day ahead tomorrow but freedom :dancy: :wowspring:

Hi Cheryl!!! Was wondering how your post op went today? Thinking of you hugs!! ❤❤❤

I will in the morning. I just got home from the hospital. My mom was admitted, went to emergency at 230 I the morning. She woke Dad up with chest pain and she's in for tests. The internist came in at 7 tonight and adjusted her pills and took off her water pill and she will wear a nitrogen patch. She may get out tomorrow. I will chat tomorrow about my appointments, I off to bed, good night. I wish you well. Cheryl

I'm sorry to hear about your mom. I'll add her to my prayers. Hopefully all will be resolved soon.
Let us know how she's doing if /when you have time.
Also curious about your OS visit, hope it was a good one. Of course we can wait on that.

Take care today....you're in our thoughts!
