    The weather down here has been the same, though the sun is finally shinning this morning! It bet it'll be going up there to you, too! Maybe you can get out and sit in it for a little while.

    You see Bonesmart is amazing for expanding one’s general knowledge. I have now looked up where Maryland, Delaware and Virginia are in the US so that I can see how you might all have different weather. Here it’s been a dull old cold winter day but I did go for a walk ! Just noticed it’s starting to stay light for a tiny bit longer in the afternoon.:)

    Beautiful here on the Texas Gulf Coast. Sunny, blue sky, highs around 70. Of course we'll pay for it in August. :hissy:

    @Newboots
    Delaware, Maryland, Virginia is know as Delmarva. Even though we're 3 separate states. A little USA trivia for you. You're in the UK, right?

    @ Motherbone
    I have a few choice words for you and your beautiful weather:rotfl: .That is a beautiful area. It's always on HGTV beachfront bargain hunt. Palm trees sigh.

    The sun peeked out around 4. Just in time for it to get dark.

    It took me a while to figure out the Delmarva thing, I thought I was brilliant when I told my husband. Of course he already knew that. :doh:I’m slow, but I eventually get it!

    @Jockette
    It might be a shore expression. Western Maryland and southern Virginia are as far apart as it gets.

    So true. I believe they are talking about the Eastern Shore.

    How are you doing on that extension? It will come. Don't sweat it. How's you hubby?

    @beachy
    Thanks for that info. I’ll have to think of some way to weave it into a conversation!
    Yes I’m in the UK.Have a friend who lives in New York but that’s much further north than you I think. We’re both gardeners so she fills me in on the weather and what she’s able to grow there

    Hope you and your husband are continuing to improve.

    @Motherbone I have sun and blue sky envy!

    @sistersinhim .
    I keep working on the extension. It will come. at least it doesn't cause pain to work on it like it did in the early weeks. I like pt so much more now. Overall the knee is good. Just stiff, but moving it helps.....walking, recumbent bike, life lol.
    Hubs is getting better. Thanks for asking! We'll know more on Wed when he has his appt with the specialist. Praying it goes well.

    @Newboots .
    Sisters is right . It does mean the Eastern Atlantic shore of the 3 bordering states.
    New York city is a 3 hr drive for us. Been there quite a few times on business.
    Where are you located in the UK?

    Same here for dourness. Except today. Sunny! Temps will be around 50°F.
    I love anything UK. I'm Irish and probably still have relatives there. I'd love to visit....It's on my bucket list.

    Week 13
    Was yesterday. My knee feels good just stiff, but not enough to keep me from going about my daily activities.
    What does keep me down is my lower back and the stupid bursitis in left hip. Ice on hip, moist heat on lower back and stretching.

    I can:
    Ride recumbent bike for 20 minutes. No resistance, but pedaling kinda fast.
    Walk for 20 minutes.
    Do some strengthening leg exercises.
    Run errands, etc.
    Life is pretty normal except for hip and back. I have an assessment with a pain doc on Jan 22.
    The knee feels strong. The right one is screaming.

    Hubs and I have been on a wheat free, grain free diet for 2 weeks. Its been amazing for energy and some weight loss. More so for him because men stop eating chips and lose 50 lbs immediately. Or so it seems. :loll:

    That's what's going on in the Beachy house. Hope everyone is having good days!
