Physio has just taken me for a walk out the car park and down the street to practice getting in and out of a car. Knackered now.

Cappy, a much better combo is Tramadol with paracetamol. And if 50mg isn't working, take 100mg. In my experience, GPs usually prescribe 1-2 tablets (capsules) every 4-6 hours. I always took 2 every 4 hours for the first several weeks. With the paracetamol, of course. It really enhances the Tramadol.

That's great advice Josephine, thanks. I haven't been given my prescription yet but I already have Tramadol and paracetomol at home.

It's the jags in the belly I'm not looking forward to!

Welcome home Cappy. Hope your are adjusting to homelife again and feeling better each day. Remember to rest a lot, take the pills and don't worry about the ironing, vacuuming ok? Just kidding.

Hi, Cappy, I hope your transition home was smooth and you're resting. I know how happy I was to get home and rest. But you're a pro having done this before! Enjoy your weekend and family! Congrats on being done!

Just catching up on your story Cappy. I bet you are glad its out of the way. The belly jabs are horrible. I found that there was an after sting for a few minutes. Have a treat ready for each day that you can have straight after the jab - might help? Stay positive- you are doing r3ally well.

Thanks all. It's nice to be home and recovery's going well. It would be nice to get a good night's sleep but for some reason that's not happening this time round.

However pain's OK now, I'm doing my exercises and resting. Only another 37 belly jabs to go.

In 1993 I was on traction for 12 weeks and had one every day.....my belly was like a purple crumpet!

Time to put your feet up Cappy, 37 belly jabs don't fancy that at all I am afraid.
Mind and stay off the jungle juice tea and fresh orange can you handle it :snork:

Welcome home, cappy! Hope you get some good sleep. Glad you're home.

Just had a visit from the district nurse. She has taken off my dressing and says the wound no longer needs covered. So it'll soon be photo time!

Glad to hear you are doing so well. I had to give myself the injections also could not wait till I was done. I saw your picture of the Philly Swat team I do not doubt it was cheasper to make the movie there. I had sticker shock when I moved here from Texas. I hope you can get some good rest, and are not having too much pain.

Many congrats Cappy that you are home and everything going forward well.
Take good care of yourself, get good rest, and not just for the first couple of weeks..:what:..:sigh:
All the very best , well done :yay:
