Happy for you, that your doing so well after a year! I agree with Jaycey, how many times have you read those great inspirational stories about Doctors telling they're patients they will never do this or that, and the patient ends up doing this or that and more! As long as there is no pathological physical reason that could hold you back you can continue to do and improve on whatever it is that your physically doing.

Hello Cappy, great to hear from you and such a good update. Where did you ride? In the countryside?

My Runkeeper ride is broken link removed: https://runkeeper.com/user/alastairfindlay/activity/97239225. It was all along roads but most of them very quiet. A great way to start the day and it certainly helps me sleep!

Hi all,

The anniversary of my 2nd surgery is nearly here and I have my one year follow up with my surgeon in a couple of weeks.

Everything's going well though. I am exercising; gym every day, cycling, spin classes etc. My weight loss continues so I'm very pleased. I haven't got the full stretch that I hoped for but that's a minor grumble - and I'm not finished yet!

Hope all are well!

Good news Cappy I will have to seriously consider going back to swimming or gym or get my bike out and dust it down as I have seriously piled on the pounds over the past couple of years.

Billy

Cappy - so good to hear from you. Great that you are out and about living life again! Thanks for the update!

Hi Cappy, congratulations on the one year (almost) and two year anniversaries and to be doing so well that is great.

Weight loss, gym, cycling.. and that fabulous smile.. Life is good, I am pleased :)

Afternoon all.

Well I couldn't let the occasion pass - my left hip is one today! And I have to say that I feel considerably better today than I did this time last year.

I saw my surgeon last week and he's delighted with his work and my progress. See him again in (at?) three years. No jogging and no digging. Can do whatever else I want. Couldn't be better.

Stay well folks

Happy Hippie Birthday! So glad you are still enjoying life with your new hips Cappy.

Cappy

YAY!!! Great news. You didn't want to,jog OR dig, anyway, right? Seriously, aren't these hips wonderful? Who would ever have believed we could do so much, with parts made by man?

All the best
Suki

No Jogging and no digging ooops I was digging six months after my right hip replacement no one said anything to me about digging not caused any problems so far not that i go digging every day just when I weed the garden.
Jogging now thats a different matter completely find that a tad boring and even used to hate doing it when I used to play football when I was younger.

Billy
