Can we help? September is springtime, right. Many hands make light work! You and SO can boss us baby warriors around, but we can help you out and of course we'll have to schedule any work around our nature adventures! Gives us all something to plan for!!!!!!

Spent a rather uncomfortable afternoon and evening fighting a potential UTI.. Which can be serious with my Chronic Kidney Disease.. Left my emergency pack of antibiotics at the other house!

Finally slept with an ice pack on my tummy this afternoon, that helped heaps.. Along with liters of water, natural antibiotics and good ole alkalising sachets..

SO had to get his own dinner tonight .. Couldn't face eating myself..

No problem sissy46 you can also chase the rabbits.... we have lots of bunny rabbits..

SO cut the paddock grass down, so doubt I will see the wallabies tomorrow morning :( lots of little birds diving amongst the slashed grass looking for worms though.. There is a beautiful little one with blue on the underbelly..

This morning, I watched the sea eagle being chased by other birds.. Very territorial around here!

We will head back tomorrow if I haven't got this under control o/nite..

It gets complicated because I have food allergies that affect my bladder.. corn or anything with maize will do it every time...

I was naughty the last few days, wanted to have treats.. Had too many! Mostly I am a good little

Poppet Well, you have to live a little and have those treats sometime, but do take care of your sweet self:SUNsmile:

Thanks hon... Off to bed now it is 11pm Thursday night ....

Have a great day :)

Poppet, hope this finds you feeling better. :console2: Best not to mess with the UTI stuff. My Mom lost a kidney about 10 years ago after a kidney infection from persistent kidney stones - went septic and we nearly lost her. But she's doing really well with her remaining kidney and isn't experiencing any kidney issues - knocking on a huge wooden log right now!!

Ah, well we all overindulge sometimes... Hope you have a safe journey home and enjoy the rest of your time off. Would love to hear about what you're sewing for yourself!

dede62

Hi there, spent the night with an ice pack on my tummy.. took the heat out which was good... woke up, to no symptoms, then had a takeaway coffee and whamoo! symptoms back ever so slightly... So no more coffee for me for a few days.

We will stay a few days more, but I am resting.. I tend to overdo the exercise when I get to our coast house and then the soft tissue gets inflamed, so sitting here with ice packs...

p.s. sewing - two skirts for work... nothing exciting really :)

Well I hope your sitting where you have a prime view of all the wildlife! Sorry the coffee has done you in. Does tea affect you the same or are you just switching to water to get past this? It's good that rest is the order of the day! Doze off, dearest Poppet!

Water, water and more water...

Yes, I have my laptop set up with a prime view of the water, ocean, wildlife, humans !!!! on the water... its holiday season and the tourists hit town.. we just sit up high on the hill and watch..

bellaroma Thanks, Beth. I went paddling on Christmas, lazy day on Wednesday, bike riding yesterday, and hiking today. I walked farther today than I have in at least 7 years, probably 5 miles or more. I saw deer, two lonely butterflies (a Common Buckeye and a Gulf Fritilary,) a Downy Woodpecker and a Red-shouldered Hawk. I am euphoric about being able to walk. It was great, not a twinge from my hip, but after driving home, a little stiff so I'm on the sofa now with an ice pack for a few minutes. I may have just about reached my limit for distance as far as my bad back is going to let me go. I have a heating pad on it right now:heehee: and I'm about to have a glass of wine.

Yup the wine ought to do it!

sissy46, do you take any guide books with you to id the wildlife or have you seen most of what's there on a consistent basis? You've got mad skills if you don't use the books. Just in the short time here I can't believe the number of creatures and critters you've named off seeing on your nature outings!

dede62 sometimes I take field guides, but I'm pretty good at identifying most of the critters that are around. A lot of times I'll take a picture and then figure out the ID after I get home if I'm not sure. I also have several real expert friends on Facebook who help me with difficult dragonflies, snakes, and such.

You are good in the id world. I usually won't bring the books either to cumbersome, but than later on I am going what did that thing look like??

I tried very hard Thursday to get a good picture of a brilliant Red-taile Hawk that was soaring overhead while we were riding bikes near Lake Monroe. This is the best I could get, not good, but the color of that tail is so pretty.
