*waves hello*
Sandy/Buffi - I haven't tried icing my groin, but I have been using a heating pad, doing some stretches and massaging it myself. It seems to be improving albeit slowly.
It's quite frustrating as I feel I need to be doing more to build back up my stamina.
Laura - your story touched me so deeply. Being a self-supporting woman with a career, house and one son on disability who lives with me, I simply couldn't imaging doing what you've done. It's amazing to me what we can manage when push comes to shove.
I've never, ever had a problem sleeping but for whatever reason, find myself lying in bed, flipping through tv channels trying to get to sleep. Last night I finally slipped off around 3 AM.
What's so scary to me about it is I simply can't function without a minimum of six hours sleep and I'm suppose to start back to work on Tuesday. Yes, it is only six hours a day and I'll be working from home the first week, but I really need to figure out this insomnia issue so I can function.
I'm thinking it's because I'm just lying/sitting around most of the time trying allow my body to heal. I'm use to working myself to near exhaustion with either work related projects or house maintenance/improvement projects. Wish I could say I'm an exercise fanatic of some sort but the truth is, the only exercise I've ever enjoyed is riding my bike and that's just not possible now until I have more confidence in my new hip.
