I'm glad that you got through that milestone. Hug your kids tonight. Your knee is getting better every day.
I did hug my kids extra today and tonight...
I don't like wishing time away but this is one day I just wanted to be over...its all good again now! I made it through it, nothing bad happened.

Glad this is behind you, on to healing.
Thank you!!!

I am having spurts of sharp pains in my leg/knee almost like razor cuts, it doesn't last long but it happens often, could this be the nerves connecting or whatever it is they do?

My zingers seemed to make my leg actually jump! It would inevitably happen when I was teaching while sitting and my leg would pop out involuntarily! These occurred a few months later. The kids thought it was funny.

So sorry about your husband. It's hard to repeat an experience, but without the people who were by your side the first time. Best wishes to you.

My leg doesn't jump but I think the rest of me does!
I can well imagine kids thinking it funny though! LOL

I, too, am so sorry about your husband. It is so hard to go through this alone. But, you aren't alone, you have your children. You are blessed to have them!
I had 35 staples and everyone of them but one hurt. I hope I never have to have another staple in my body!

I thought they were all out when she stopped, it was only half. She was just taking a break because I was sweating and had gotten very pale! I'm so not good with it! I know it's silly but I can't help it!

32 with my TKR, but 52 with the infection surgery. The nurse taking them out said the Dr. likes staples. I was such a basket case she took half out one week and the other half the next week. My incision was still sleepy so skin didn't grow over the 2nd half staples.

You are very strong to go through with the revision again so soon after the first TKR and your husband's death. Your children are blessed to have you as their mother.

The nurse who took them out offered to leave half in until next week but I said no, get it over with now because I don't want this anxiety for another few days...lol!

I think that was the smart thing to do, get them all out at the same time. Once they're out it feels so much better! But, going through that is almost as bad as taking that first step after the surgery, except it lasts a whole lot longer! I'm going to beg my to do the glue next knee!

I have a weird thing happening with the knee, it feels like something pulling/tearing in it from the incision, I cannot put any weight on the knee or straighten it out. This is new to me and I have no idea what it can be...?

If this is a sudden change for the worse and there was nothing you may have overdone today then a call to the on-call OS may be warranted. Otherwise if it is more swollen than usual due to additional activity the elevate, ice and medicate.

Call the OS in the morning if it is not better.

T so good to hear things are better this time around.

You have some dissolving stitches under the skin that will feel tight as you get more flexibility and muscle mass increases. Keep your eye on it though the non weight bearing aspect doesn't sound right if it continues.
