Wish there was something I could say to make this better for you.
Thank you!
I think its a good thing I didn't know what was coming however it would probably been easier to know (make sense?)!

I know I shouldn't be discussing this here because its a knee replacement forum...its just that this happened 12 days into recovery of a knee revision, a recovery that has been derailed since that evening of Oct 20th...

It's your thread, and the loss of your husband is a big part of your recovery. There are others who have had losses during recovery, and your posts will be helpful.
Yes, your comment makes sense.

@Pumpkln My husband was a big part of my recovery team, he was my care-taker, my cheerleader, my protector, my advocate, my shoulder to lean or cry on, my encouragement, he was a whole recovery team all in one person, now I am lost without him and not sure where to go with this recovery stuff...I feel all alone! He was there by my side during my two pkrs 3 years ago...always steadfast and true and loving me no matter what I threw at him in the hard days I endured! We don't get to reap the benefits together when this knee is ready to go and be adventurous, he is gone and its so hard to carry on and to do this right, because all I want to do is quit!

I just read your thread and I am so sorry for your loss. I will pray for you and your family.

JustmeT, I agree with Pumpkln that this is an infection but it's most likely a very superficial, minor infection which will respond readily to antibiotics. The other thing it could be is a suture with a lot of tissue gathered up that has become inflamed. Either way, it needs to be seen by a doctor if only to rule out the first. Don't you have an emergency centre you could go to?

@Joesphine Yes, we have an emergency room that we can visit....just it's a one hour drive away! I will call the clinic in my area maybe they can get me in?...

We have urgent care clinics where you can walk in and be seen. Do you have anything like that?

Your plan to call the clinic in town is good, and call the OS office.

Keep calling them if they have not called you back by noon. It should not matter that he is away, he should have an OS that is on call to take patients with concerns and problems.
Have you called the clinic?

@Pumpkln The clinic here didn't have a free slot and not call back from the OS clinic. I do have an appointment for Monday though...

Call the OS back, squeaky wheel gets attention.
I assume it is staying the same, if it gets worse you will have to make the trip to the ER.
Be sure you tell them it is Red, Hot, Painful, and Swollen.

It is still sore and the bump is still there still hot but feels about the same as it did yesterday.

Looks the same to me. I am going to tag @Josephine to take a look.

@Pumpkln I think that is the same pic as yesterday's. ...I just noticed that the new one isn't on my tablet but on my phone.
