I'se does mi best tu inlevinen tha plac wuence en a whyle!

That darned spell check! It corrected dos! :rotfl:

Hopper, not that you asked, :heehee: but the reason I had mine done 8 weeks apart was the high risk of infection! By the time 8 weeks rolled around I was ready for the 2nd one! :happydance:

Thanks BJ Mac....Some days its still a struggle with the 1yr old knee but I get past it and do what I want (usually). How are yu doing?

I am hanging in there.... Backing up and trying to go easy. I rode my bike for just over 1 mile twice this week, cause I nearly did myself in a couple of weeks ago riding 5 miles one day and 6 a few later. I will need to get my partial changed to a full knee at some point. The surgeon overlooked the arthritis behind my kneecap and on the outside of the knee to do the partial. The knee is not very happy, but I am determined to back up and move ahead slowly, and get as much as I can out of this knee for now. I am not ready to go back and start over with a whole new knee replacement yet. I am definitely disappointed that the surgeon did not do the full replacement when he saw the other arthritis when he did the replacement. I do not feel very confident to let him operate on me again. I also have too many things going on right now to have that surgery.

Well BJ, would you like to be the first to jump out of the plane? We are looking for volunteers! :happydance:

Are you sure BJ? We will give you a choice of a bungee cord, a parachute or a combination of both...there are options available oh and Rest assures (:heehee: ) us that there will be a news crew there to document your jump...uh huh she does!

Quite sure, Tessa, Quite Sure!!!

I am pretty good with a camera though and would be glad to take photos, either from the plane or from the ground, whichever you prefer. I will even have the prints done up in poster size for both you and Sonja... You are going to want to have the photo's for posterity's sake. Or maybe I can be in a plane next to yours and a bit lower and get really good photos... OOOHHHH that sounds like the best idea. Keep me in on your plans so I can be there and photograph the event. I will be glad to post the photos for all of the bonesmarties to see.

:dancy: :spin: :happydance:

Ummmmmmmm noooooooooo? Ummmmmmmmm yeeeeeeeeeeeeesss? I dunno, I am so confused

You will need to jump out first as a practice to learn what the best angles for the photographs will be...

Nope! No jumping for me. I will watch and take the photos. You can jump if you want to OR we can both watch Sonja do it. She likes that crazy stuff, such a wild woman, our dear Sonja. Me, my crazy stuff has me keeping my feet rather close to the ground, you know, the snowboarding and skiing. BUT, I really do want to come and watch and take Photos... really I do!

Ohhhhhhh I really do like that idea of the both of us watch Sonja jump first....not that she will do it because she is so shy and all! :rotfl:

Well, we must certainly help our dear friend to get over her "shyness" then. Jumping first will be soooo good for her. She will secretly be ever so glad that we encouraged her to go first. You are such a dear friend. :yay:

Hi, I am just about 4 months out from my LTKR and my right is crying. I am thinking of getting it done soon because it is really hurting and I just had a cortisone shot three weeks ago. But the weather here in Chicago is changing alot so I am hoping the pain settles down. But if it doesn't i have to start thinking about the next one. I think it might be good to get it because I am tired of it hanging over my head but i just don't want to go through this again. My first knee did very well so I am praying the next one will do the same.

ihurt222 I was in the same place a little less than a year ago, knowing I was having the right pkr soon after having the left pkr and its a hard decision. I was feeling a lot of trepidation the closer the time came to getting it done but now 7 months after having the 2nd one done I must say it was the best thing I could have done and I am very happy that I went through with it. All in all the 2nd one was a much easier recovery than the 1st a lot of which can be attributed to I knew what to expect and how to better manage my recovery.

I hope you can get some peace of mind with this decision and make one soon. Actually, further back in this tread you will find that I was having many reservations about the whole thing....

T.

I have been having a lot of sharp stabbing pains just below my left knee that sorta feel like shin splint pain and pain in the back of the knee. Its been more than a year now since this pkr, I am wondering if anyone else has had anything like this? This has been an ongoing issue for a while but recently its gotten worse...Josephine
