If that last post was for me I didn't mean for them to hold me by the ankles. I was thinking more like helping me around the house, running errands,applying my sunscreen....

The problem there is that whenever The Warriors put any sort of cream on anything, they immediately start to eat it.

Of course we'd all have been enjoying the craic at Bonos ceile along with Michelle - but the fool didn't have enough ice at the ready for us all! Slainte Bono!
Lets all make sure we go next year when our knees are bouncing around high enough for Riverdance!

Did you say my warriors eat cats......oh, the horror....wait until Toni hears this one....they eat turkey legs,
Oatmeal with blood in it, grapes, ox stew & wear fig leaves.
Sonja, please keep the warriors away from any Maggie's or I will call the police & file a report.

Diana, I would like to point out that SWMBO and I were working assiduously on refining the Lads' tastes in food when a Certain Person nicked 'em.

And hence the reason I "nicked" them! Eating cats! No no no! That will not do! They have become more refined and are now "slurping TX Tea, and eating BBQ!

Joe, I'm afraid to return them o you after they have been thoroughly cultured in the TX traditions!

Well, I don't drink, but these guys are strong burly types. When they found out about the drink called Texas Tea they went wild!
It contains vodka, tequila, gin, bourbon, sweet and sour mix and then on top of that you add coca cola! Now, that's our version of TX Tea!

.Sonja! Your courage knows no bounds! If they went wild just hearing about TX Tea, what will they be like when they try necking a few gallons of the stuff? It'll be a massacre. I fear for your safety, I really do. Say what you like about cats but the worst that diet can give you is a bad attack of furball. TX could give 'em a historic hangover and not even the Pope could guarantee their behaviour. But, if you insist on giving them a try of this liquid, have your escape route planned in advance and don't let them strike any matches. Good luck... What does it taste like anyway?

I must say I fear for the lads the good people from the state of Texas should hide their
& run for the hills. In my state of Massachusetts we call that drink rot-gut, it will rust the inards of our
Warriors & make them lose their minds.
I have a feeling we might be hearing about the lads on the 11:00 news, tell miss Sonja to go back to the books.

Oh dear!! I think the the inmates are running the asylum! Texas Tea! Better see about getting the lads back Jo. i fear Sonja is hitting more than the books.
I do hope she can keep them from crossing the border into Canada till at least lunch time tomorrow. I should be out of the OR by then. I shudder to think of them full of tea and spying all the pretty power tools laid out for me.
Do take care of that knee and I'll check in when I can

Oh no need to worry!

They are on a strict limit of one "TX Tea" a day! Joe, I have never tried it, but others say it is very tasty! They need a little relief after drilling in the oilfield's all day! I am proud to report that "Rocko" has learned how to operate the crane! He asked me to report this to the group. Oh and their language is really becoming quite colorful being with "the guys" in the oilfield all day! My way, I have selected two of the most suitable of the group to greet you when you get back to your room! They will be carrying some TX Tea, just in case your pain killers aren't strong enough!

I fear the warriors have escaped from texas I just looked out my back door& there behind the trees, I
Spotted them 3 burly warriors carrying kitty cats & wearing tutu's.
They were mumbling about looking for my way I am very close to the Canadian boarder & fear they are on there way to the
Hospital. Lord, help us all........diana

Hello joe,
Our dear Sonja has run into a problem ( seems her knee cap is acting up) she may need arthroscopic surgery
She has asked me to watch the warriors, so she can rest.
3 of the lads made it to the hospital to be with my way. They were last seen trying to put Texas tea into her i.v
I left 1 of the lads with Sonja to help her with chores I have the other's with me...it is 100 degrees in. Boston today,
So they will be fanning me, feeding me grapes, and icing my knee.
I hope you are doing well...I will say a for our shy Sonja.

new knee in June, 100 degrees is what we call 38 Celsius, and the only time I experienced that was getting off an airconditioned coach in inland Spain in August some years ago at midday, to see a digital thermometer on a pole which told the temperature. All the paleskinned Irish on that coach nearly passed out on the boiling cement square and felt very sorry for ourselves not to be back home in a balmy wet 20 degrees or 68 of yours. None of us could sleep for the week. I heard about Sonja's kneecap and have sent her a soothing post, but it is good of you (and very brave) to take on Warriorminding. I'm not too sure how they'll react to those temperatures though, they could become violent, or passionate, or just pass out on the floor of the spare bedroom. Do be careful. The three finally made it to Wanda's room did they? I heard they were causing traffic pile-ups on the motorway, stopping cars and wrenching doors off hinges to ask directions. Canadian drivers had never seen the like, and couldn't make head or tail of their guttural speech. One of them who'd spent years travelling the World finally translated what they were trying to say as " Wan Da knee massage hospital where" and pointed them on their way. Apparently everyone in Canada knows Wanda... Let's hope they don't overdo the dreaded Texas Tea devil's brew. Great for killing germs though...keep me posted, Diana!! Joe

Hi inspojo It seems they did manage to make it to my room They were caught trying to pour Texas tea in my IV. They haven't been seen since and I only hope they are still in the lockup. They better get them deported before they find my house. However my poor husband may enjoy the break from nursing duties if they do show up.
How is everything going with you? All is still good I trust. I have little or no swelling, SWMBO would love the vivid shade of purple that developed on one of my legs last night. It matches the color of my wrist where the arterial line was placed in the OR. I am having a little trouble getting sorted out with my pain meds but other than that things are starting to come around.

My way Hi Wanda, everything is good with me, walking without cane, 2 miles a day including some steps, but not all at once. No more pills and don't notice they're missing. Beginning to wonder maybe I might try mowing the lawn and/or trimming a hedge. Went driving last week and managed not to hit anything. I read on Toni's thread where she hit a rough patch and I'm sorry to hear it , hopefully it has passed. I never had any downs like that so don't know what it's like. Also I was very distressed to read that Sonja was fighting with her husband. She could easily injure herself...and him; it is well known that a clatter of a metal knee implant can do terrible damage to a man. I hope that you get your meds sorted soon, every day that passes there is less need for them I found. We hear on the news of that awful train accident in Canada, God help all those affected. Delighted to hear your swelling is gone. Mine is not completely gone yet and it might hang around for a while because the knee was swollen a bit for 11 years without pain before it went bad and I couldn't get from the table to the kitchen sink one day about 5 months ago, so I went on painkillers until the op. I'm afraid SWMBO thought it was a gag to avoid the washing-up but she believed once she saw the scar... Joe
