O. M. G. You can't be serious! What about the dancing, the conversational skills, the abstemious habits I was slowly helping them adopt? Peeing for distance indeed!! (collapses on ground, tissue jammed into mouth, eyes streaming tears, nostrils a-quiver...)

You know I do have one question that's been lurking in my mind for a while. are the original owners of the Lads looking for their absent warriors. do we need to be concerned about Interpol? :yikes:

Well, I hate to tell y'all but they have blended into the oilfield persona so well, that no one would recognize them! They are seen regularly kicking up their heels to the "Cotton Eyed Jo" and shouting "Yeehaw" along with the rest of the redneck cowboys! :happydance: :rotfl:

Yes, yes, I do believe they will make excellent husbands in no time flat! I have more coaching to do, about dancing with women and so forth, so you single ladies, please hold off on contacting me until my "polishing" process is finished! I will tell you one thing, they look mighty fine in a pair of blue jeans, and boots! No shirts, just rippling muscles glistening with sweat.... Oh dear dear me... I am getting a little hot myself! :heehee:

Welcome to the other side! I loved your story of the catheter :rofsign: You have a wonderful way with words and a wicked humor, can't wait to read more  Don't keep us waiting too long.....

This is Diana speaking from the other side....joe I appreciate everything you have done for my muscular warriors, but refinement
On my boys will not do. They need a certain caveman persona to make us ladies happy....
Rest assured,
I like how you have the boys working in the fields, glistening with streaks of oil on their warrior bodies, but could you ditch the cowboy attire.....remember fig leafs only. The part about the peeing contest made me laugh out loud...
You guys are truly the best.........hugs, diana

Hey Jo, Ah that greeting sent me back in time. Was it "Deep Purple" or "Hendrix" or both? The mind is going already! :yikes: Anyway I'm just wondering how your knee is doing? Progressing well I hope. You always provide us with a good laugh and never complain about yourself.
Wanda

Wanda, you're very kind. The reason I don't complain is that I've nothing to complain about. My knee recovery is going excellently, reducing pills, pain levels nearly zero, the argument I had with a stool trying to get into the attic a couple of weeks ago is finally letting me practice up and down stairs, walking half a mile a day with a cane and the swelling is well down but not gone yet. ROM about 110. I read here on the forum where some people get a tough time for awhile and am embarrassed to think that they might wish I'd shut up! I don't want to annoy folks... I'm going to see the physio tomorrow (second visit) and am hoping for an OK report. SWMBO is fed up driving me around but I expect to be let drive in a week or so. Missing The Lads of course but it's not too bad once I know that A Certain Person with a red top and winning smile is looking after their spiritual welfare and stuff. I just hope that the responsibility doesn't wear down her enthusiasm but I do believe she'll be grand , all that teaching will stand to her... Now, Wanda, did I read somewhere that you've got a date for 2 July for your op? Great news indeed, and you'll be grand, you might even have to put up with night visits by spiritually aware dancing men , suitably dressed of course, to entertain you privately. You'll also have to put up with gales of good wishes, bearhugs, posts galore, smilies, and all the rest from all those people on the forum that you've cheered up , hundreds of 'em. Joe

Ah inspojo You truly do seem to be having a great recovery! You tried to get into the attic so soon after your surgery? SWMBO must be at her wits end trying to keep you down. My date is on the 2nd of July and I hope everything goes OK on Friday when I have my Pre Op visit. Having been on the wait list for a year and then dealing with an excuse for a receptionist I feel something will go wrong. Oh well, wait and see.
Be careful in expressing your feelings on the loss of the Lads! They may yet be returned to you! It's truly amazing that your post on catheters started such a great bit of fun for those who needed a bit of distraction from their stress. I will be thinking of the Lads and for some reason I'm sure they will be in that tutu!
Haven't started to stress yet, but, please stand by. You may well be needed.
bless you,
Wanda

Wanda it's normal to feel anxious at this stage, we all did! On the day you'll be calm as can be, before and after. Everyone will tell you that and it's true. Plus, you've got oodles of first-rate friends here thinking of you and sending waves of support . Somebody very wise once said "sufficient unto the day is the trouble thereof". (I don't know who it was). In other words, don't be worrying about tomorrow, everything works out as it should. Now, I hope I haven't given you a pain in the neck!! Joe

Well I've heard Powerscourt could do with another waterfall. Also the Wicked Wolf wants a Blarney Stone hoicked into its back yard. Just thought it might help to keep them on the right tracks....
Oh and Bono wants a bigger beach down his way!
Meantime why don't you get a wee thing built so you can elevate and ice from the throne?
It's on the front page of the Irish Times don't you know - moggies disappearing from Ballymun.

Hopper, those are great ideas for the further training of Warriors, assuming they haven't managed to impale themselves on any of RestAssured 's equipment. A pity about the moggies...

Hello joe,
How are you, good i hope....could you be so kind &translate what hopper just said, I,m totally confused.
I am feeling much better...rom 110-0 p.t going great my therapist has me balancing on my replacement knee
I am walking without a cane or crutch. It,s been 4 weeks & my only complaint is sleeping through the night.
I do take a long nap in the afternoon, maybe I,ll cut that down a bit.
It looks like my way will soon be on the other-side, hugs & prayers coming her way....
I hear the warriors are with Sonja...she is taking really good care of them ..& you & shmbo are enjoying
The peace and quiet.
All my best to you.....diana

Well newknees, I'm so glad you recovery is going so well. I can understand how you might be confused about Hopper's post, (suggestions for keeping The Warriors usefully employed) so are most of the readers here! You'd have to be Irish to get it, so I shall explain. Powerscourt is a tourist spot with a waterfall in Wicklow, very beautiful when it's not raining. The Blarney Stone is a stone in the side of Blarney Castle in County Cork, very high up with a vertiginous drop under it; tourists can kiss it provided they don't mind having their ankles gripped by a brawny fellow specially employed for the purpose, while they hang upside down out of a window... it is said that the tourist then gets the "Gift of the Blarney" which means that he/she can talk about anything to anybody for hours at a time. I actually kissed the thing once so I can testify that it doesn't work. The job of holding the ankles of tourists (usually lissome young ladies) is much sought-after by the local brawny fellows. I cannot think why... Bono is the lead singer with a group called U2, of which you may have heard, he lives in a large old house beside the sea south of Dublin (Michelle O'Bama and the two girls had dinner with him last week actually) . The Irish Times is one of our newspapers of Record here, which carries important items such as Moggies going missing in Ballymun ( a residential area in Dublin). It is pure coincidence that cats are a favourite food delicacy with The Warriors, and no conclusions are to be drawn. Moggies are cats. I hope that clears up any misunderstandings!!!

Thank you joe for the translation....I just had an idea.....the job of hanging the ladies by their ankles sounds
Perfect for the muscular warriors.....right up their alley....we will have to check with Sonja, but it does sound promising.
What do you think.
Have a great weekend......all my best to you....diana

'twould never work, Diana. (a) they'd scare the living daylights out of the tourists who are already in a state of high nervous tension (b) the Warriors would have to be fluent in the Irish language and (c) they'd have to have red hair.

There you go. The perfect job for the Lads! I knew they would find their way sooner or later.:) Just keep them away from me during my op! The last thing I need is to have them carousing around the operating room Tuesday morning. Now later in my recovery......

but but ......you should not let anyone hold you up by the ankles before the swelling goes down.
