 My way Wanda! Do I detect a whiff of cynicism here? Why is it that when a chap says he is newly compliant and obedient, the wimmen don't believe him ?

inspojo :rotfl: compliant, obedient after all those years of being you! I think not. That would be like me saying I am going to keep my mouth shut! Ain't gonna happen!
Bless you we love you the way you are.
Wanda

Good morning joe,
I agree with my way, please don' t change your wicked ways, we love you just the way you are :)
Compliant & obedient should just be for swmbo :heehee: I hope you are doing well in your recovery.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Diana

-@Diesellily My way new knee in June Hello ladies. Truly I don't know where to look ! I've been nosing around your threads and reading about your travails . You're all having hard times and I wish I could offer some actual help, but apart from my best wishes and prayers I have no practical suggestions based on my experience to share. Except for a bit of firsthand stuff about how lovely it is when the heat lets go, and a cool breeze wafts through the hair, or in my case through the skin on top where there once was hair, a long time ago. Bless you all, it'll get better! Joe

Thanks for caring Joe it means a lot. Hows your roof tile? Not sure which part of Ireland you're in but Belfast is due some storms tomorrow, rain Wednesday & Thursday and temperatures are due to return to normal. i.e. cold. Jeez I miss the Emerald Isle.

inspojo The weather has improved here, much cooler and fresher. I actually had to put an extra blankie on the bed. As the humidity decreases my mood and knees improve.
It was very thoughtful of you to be concerned for us. Thank you. Just wait till winter comes. Then we start complaining about the cols and snow storms. :snork:
Is the roof tile sill loose. I hope so unless you got someone else to fix it.
Wanda

Joe get a bucket to catch the raindrops they'll be good for any indoor plants:heehee: . Have to try and stay positive. Hey My Way, this is the first year in hmphhh years I actually hate the heat. So not like me! I even bought a new garden sunbed from ebay to enjoy the rays whilst I'm off work. Fat lot of good that was it's way too low. With less than 90 degree ROM it's impossible to get on let alone get off!! It's stuck behind the sofa waiting for my denial and to be put back on ebay. Probably next year :rotfl: xxx

My way Diesellily Glad to hear your weather suits you better ! The wretched tile is still there winking at me, but thankfully no water got in during a proper downpour today. I tried looking meaningfully at SWMBO (who has returned from her Westerly Wanderings) and turning the conversation to tiles and leaks, but she just glared at me. Meaningfully. She has a 5-Star glare. When were you in the E Isle, Dieselilly? I never spotted you. If I had, you would not have been without a drop of The Creature (a medicinal potion my brother-in-law makes...) Joe

Glad you've escaped the waterlogging so far! The Creature sounds right up my alley! I was last over in Oct 2008 meeting all the OH's rellies. Oh no I forget the weekend of OH's niece's Christening in 2010 in Belfast.

Just told OH that the heated holiday we had planned in Tunisia at the end of October will not suit her LadyShip (the PKR) and would prefer somewhere cooler. So we are due to cancel our Hot Humid Holiday for the Railway Pub in Ardee. Drafty old place but very friendly and near to his crazy Irish family.

oooooooo you must tell me the secret (all forum members must look away NOW)

Plan B: I may have send OH over to hypnotise you with tower crane talk (wouldn't wish that on my worsted eminies it's pretty boring) He can direct cranes with hand signals in his sleep (very scary I have witnessed this).

Hello, hello....inspojo anyone there! Where have you been and what have you been up to??? I worry that you've done something you shouldn't have when we don't hear from you for a while. Please pop a post and let us know how things are going.
Wanda

Diesellily, The Creature is the result of the action of yeast on fermented barley in bogwater. When all the sugar is converted to ethanol (you'll know this by the smell) the mixture is filtered to remove dead mice etc and the filtrate is boiled in a tin bath over a turf fire, and the steam is condensed in a long coiled copper tube. The resulting liquid (aka The Creature or "The Craythur" or simply Potcheen is nearly pure alcohol and will blind you if not sipped very slowly and at most twice a year on religious festivals. +It is very good for colds and flu, and is reported to be effective against ringworm. It is an acquired taste and may take a long time . A tourist is supposed to have brought some home with him in a holy- water bottle once, and when Customs queried the contents the man told the officer it was Holy Water. The officer unscrewed the cap and sniffed , nearly passed out and wheezed "it's moonshine!" . The man looked up to Heaven and said "Tis a miracle!!". Not a word of a lie... Joe. PS How's that knee behaving ? Sounds like OH suffers from Restless Arm Syndrome !!

My way Hi Wanda, sorry about the long absence, let me assure you all I wasn't beaned by a tile or fall off a ladder. Our house suffered a bit of a burglary while we were away early last week and I've been repairing doors and locks. Nothing involving heights though. I thought why didn't the tile bean the burglar but then the law is such a butt I'd probably be held responsible. As you can imagine I now hate burglars...The house alarm frightened them once they were inside and they took off emptyhanded. Not that there was much here !! On the positive side the exercise was great for the knee. Hey, what if RestAssured hadn't nicked the Lads? Now, how are your knees these days? Doing nicely I hope , Joe

Wow inspojo ! I'm glad nothing was taken but it sure must make you angry. Yeah , I know what you mean about the laws. Crazy! The knees are coming along nicely for the most part. I only go to PT for a check on my strength and ROM and she is pleased! That makes me happy cause she doesn't get a chance to push and whip me back into shape. :snork: I did have a minor set back a few days ago. I forgot myself and tried to kick off my shoes. The left knee was far from happy and it's still a little sore.
How about you? All is well I hope. It's good to hear from you. Now I wonder where the lads are these days.
Wanda

Well, :headbang:

Joe, I am glad the alarm scared them off, alarms are a great defense, but the damage they caused was horrible! I have a bunch of people who sit on the street corner and one day say they will work for food. You give them food they toss it on the ground. They want money. The next day, they change their sign to why lie? I want Beer!

I would be glad to send these people on a one way trip to you! Are you game?
