Hi......apparently my os used to require injections....so do pills improve....as for stockings I don't know why...I did read a paper that suggested their benefit is minimal......I would guess however that there are contexts where TEDs and injections are more beneficial....?

Absolutely, for specific other general health conditions leading into surgery :)

clifford149. I only have few days left of the thinners and the itchy horrible socks.. you are lucky you never had to wear them they are torture. Am settin them on fire when I get them off .lol.

Hi zauberflöte We have spring sunshine over here at last The garden birds are working like crazy to build their nests to make up for all the lost time I think We all feel better for seeing the sun

Kim22 clifford149 I too felt immeasurably better once the season turned here-- love the feeling! And we don't even have winter much, just short days and long nights (I know, you have them WAY worse than I do...)

Your climate sounds lovely I am very jealous The Joints also prefer that sort of weather.

Hi Kim22.....I dont do a specific stretch h for the ITB ....do you have something in mind....my itb and knee are nearly recovered.....I went to the gym last night and did 5 minutes on a bicycle without breaking the 90 degree rule.... This means i can do nearly all the relevant machines...I progressed to 10 kg in most cases.....I feel fine this morning I just need to be mindful of being careful.....see os team tomorrow.... :)

You are doing very well clifford149 with both the exercises and the 2x 20 minute walks per day and I am glad that your IT band and knee are just about recovered. Let us know how you get on tomorrow

Hi..the os visit went well...met the head of pt....I did find out that I had a hooded Conrail stem which apparently can minimise stem migration as its called....his advice was to ease up the restrictions as my body allows....next visit in 18 weeks time....I can cycle swim as my body allows although be careful with breast stroke....I have a pt session this Thursday and can ask for another 3 weeks sick leave when I see my gp

Nice one clifford, it's great to hear that everything is moving along as it should do.

Take care

Ann

p.s......how's the great plum hunt going :)

clifford149 wow, great news from OS! And great workout at gym. You are just going so patiently that you will reach the end before those out there who don't know BoneSmart and take things too fast.
Anniepops Clifford gave us the lame, lame, LAME excuse that tinned plums must be out of season. Yeah right. I've seen tinned plum trees bear year-round, even in the wild, so there pthththpbt!

Chris, I missed that bit. Not one to bypass a challenge clifford149 I have found your plums. You are gonna have to go upmarket though to the posh Waitrose. They have a tin of red plums for 90p...John West. Hope you manage to grab some :)

Glad your OS visit went well. I had mine too and he was very pleased with everything. I have had all restrictions lifted (feels weird now). I'm going back to work 22nd May.

Hi clifford149 I an so glad that your appointment went so well and you can spend the next 3 weeks working on your fitness levels with walking, swimming and cycling before you go back to work I must say you seem to have managed your recovery well with a good balance of the right sort and amount of activity Well done ! By the way what is stem migration when it is at home ?

clifford149. I only have few days left of the thinners and the itchy horrible socks.. you are lucky you never had to wear them they are torture. Am settin them on fire when I get them off .lol.

Liveringer. Someone else said that... might put them on ebay ha ha. (Some people would buy or sell anything could leave out the fact I have worn them every day and night for 6 weeks) . They have been washed numerous times honestly :rotfl:.
