Oh, Knee pain, those cyber profiteroles were delicious with my morning coffee (that I didn't have yet... better get on that now, it's almost afternoon here.) :mcoffee:

Just got back from the grocery store. I walked used the cart for support, instead of the blasted hoover round (there'll be plenty of time for that with the next knee.) I had my music playing through my earphones and went through there Whistling Dixie.

About halfway into my trip I could hear a familiar tune that I didn't have on my playlist. Hmm, :umm: where was it coming from? Yep, you guessed it, it was my knee singing... ICE ICE BABY! lol I came home and immediately iced and elevated. :groan: At least I got through a morning without hearing that tune... Baby steps.

Hi DS, I did. I actually took a NAP! This is an accomplishment, since I fight sleep like a 2 yr old. :happydance:
I hope you had a good day too! One more wake up till the weekend... It's Friday Eve! :martini:

Earlier today, I couldn't post. I kept getting an error about the server being down and I wasn't receiving any alerts. I was over here shaking going through withdrawals :hairpulling: thinking my BS buddies didn't love me anymore. :boohoo:Haha, fat chance huh... stop loving the clown!:rotfl: But it did make me think what would I do without Bonesmart. :umm:

Did anyone else experience this problem today?

I was lurking this morning and couldn't post either. The day was okay but I was very tired when I returned home today. Elevated and rested. Made dinner and am here now. :snork: Yea for your NAP :yay:

Hope I can go to sleep now. I have a Dr's appointment in the morning. I don't want to be looking like this :mcoffee:

Actually, Vanilla Ice was (he's now a TV home-reconstruction guru) a Canadian rapper. I think after that Canada passed a law that it was not permitted to export bad musicians, until Parliament decided Justin Bieber would have caused his home country profound artistic distress had he remained confined within its borders. So now he too has been inflicted upon us.

B-Dub, if you decide to go out dancing again before the next PKR, two rules: one, wear flats. Two, no twerking no matter how bodacious the booty. Last thing you need is to throw out your back before surgery!

Cup cakes arrived this morning.........YUMO. Blast now I need to face the scales....another 1kg gain...Rhanks!
Have the best sleep you can.....Have fun with your GP.
Just finished loading car with the junk, I do not need, in the new house. The op shop love to see my junk, I hope some needy people receive, and enjoy this stuff, as much as I did.
Now resting and icing, so exhausted. Its almost a memory now, but I used to work from morning to night, now 1 hour or less and its sit and ice...AHHHHHHHH Never mind SUCK IT UP PRINCESS.

Thanks, I wondered what happened to him. I saw him doing a cameo in movie I was watching.
Thanks to my son, I figured the flats thing out, but no Twerking for me. Reggae moves are my preference and African dance is my go to dance for throwing my back out. :loll:However, I've hung up my shoes for now. MmmHmm, she said. :heehee:

Oh, and here's an FYI for you, back in the day we called "twerking" Booty Shaking. I had no idea what they were talking about when I first heard that word. It's been going on for ages, before the little Disney girl gave it a go. Yikes :yikes: In it's defense, it does look a little better when you have a booty to shake. lol

Its almost a memory now, but I used to work from morning to night, now 1 hour or less and its sit and ice...AHHHHHHHH
I know, me too. I hate it. It seems normal stuff can only be done in small doses for now.

Glad you enjoyed the cupcake, sorry about the pounds. I need to get rid of some stuff before my next surgery. Do you want anything? :umm: I can ship my junk over just like I did the cupcake.

Enjoy your Ice Ice Baby!...Do-do-Doo-dodo-do-do! :egypdance:

I ache for you, bionic woman. I can only hope and pray things get better all around. I totally understand the physical pain and I am so sorry you have to go through all of this at once.
On a brighter note, speaking of the electric grocery carts....I have had to use them myself more than once and hated that I had no other option. So, late one night at WalMart, my daughter and I decided to both use one. We decided to race up and down the aisles and generally act like unruly teens (It was a year or two ago so I was 55 or 56 and she was 30 or 31....lol). The store was basically empty, so the employees just smiled, looked the other way and let us have at it. We decided to take the lemons life had handed me and make some lemonade. It brought my spirits up and made my disability a little more bearable. BeepBeep :rofsign:

My husband told me that a nurse-nun (whose order runs one of his hospitals) riding on a motorized shopping cart at Wal-Mart actually mowed down one of her slightly younger colleagues who was shopping on foot. The younger one fractured her ankle. Perhaps had she been driving one of those carts too it'd just have been like the bumper cars at an amusement park.

lol I enjoyed using them in the beginning, I even took pics posing. Yes, I would lean to the side, do a "look mom, NO HANDS one" and even danced while driving. :egypdance: I love to back it up. My kids and a good friend of mine get a kick out of it too. The store is usually full when I cut up. :happydance: Thanks for feeling me though, I just don't want to ride in it this far out in my recovery. I know all about making lemonade. My life has been one BIG lemonade stand. :martini: Not hard lemonade though... Oops, wrong smiley guy. That's probably where my crazy sense of humor came from. :heehee:

Believe me, i'll jump in there with pleasure after my second knee, especially after being stuck in the house. Riding in it is like my first driving experience after surgery. So WATCH OUT a month or so from now... Coming to a Walmart near you. "BEEP BEEP! Who's got the keys to my Jeep!" :rofsign:

I was gonna say that she must have had some of the hard lemonade, then I saw she was a nun. So hopefully that was not the case. :beg:Maybe she was on meds. I tell me kids, don't walk right in front of me.:no-fin: Treat it like a real vehicle. It's hilarious though when they get in my way, just for a moment I pretend I'm gonna run'em down. :heehee: PAY BACK for all the times they stepped on the back of my expensive flips-flops/sandals and ruined them. :hissy:

I had a good day today. Was a little stiff when I got up, iced, did my stretches, iced and went off to see the Dr. Not my Os, this is the annual doc us women dread visiting. :gaah: My visit went surprisingly well. I told her about my knee, so she knew to save the acrobat positions for next year's visit. :heehee: She even has a sister who had knee replacement and is struggling and very depressed. I raved about our site and gave her the website. Hopefully, she'll join us and learn that she's not alone. :console2:

It felt good to be out early. I went to the post office after my doctor's appointment and rewarded myself w/a trip to Starbucks afterwards. It's the one luxury I can afford from time to time. :egypdance: Today was such a beautiful day, I sat outside soaking up the sun for hours. Knee pain I didn't have my brush though.... Shucks! lol daughter stalker, I thought about you as I sat at outside relaxing. I was wondering how you were holding up today. I almost went online, but decided my phone was too small to type correctly. Plus, I was trying to look cute and cool in my shades. lol Ya never know who's watching.

After a couple of hours my knee was aching but not really hot or swollen, so I stayed out long enough to pick my son up from school. He hates the bus, so I had mercy on him today. You would think he would pay me back with a little peace and quiet but noooo. :no-fin: He's in the living room now screaming at the top of his lungs in his LET'S GIVE MUM A HEART ATTACK VOICE! :gaah: It's official.... THE WEEKEND HAS STARTED! Where are my ear plugs!? :hissy:

Absolutely Knee pain, take BOTH of them AFTER I recover so I can get my Grown Folk on. :egypdance: lol
My oldest son would be in hog heaven since his latest thing is Australian women. Although, that was last spring, he may be onto another continent/country by now. lol

Good morning BW2
I have just caught up on your post.

I am so impressed that you went out dancing. I wouldn't have been able to do that at your stage. it's a pity it didn't work out brilliantly for you but at least you had a night out. :yay:

I saw your post about the wedges, I can relate to that. I had two nice pairs of boots with small wedge heels but they used to kill my knees even if I was just sitting. I eventually gave in and donated them to the charity shop.

I can understand you being anxious about starting this whole process again so soon. :yikes:

I would have liked to have both knees done together. My surgeon would not consider it. As I am having it done on the NHS I didn't have a say in when knee two would be done, I just had to wait for an appointment.
It was just short of 6 months.

The upside was that knee one was doing really well. I was thinner, fitter and enjoying life. The downside was that as time went on and I was getting on with my life it got harder and harder to deal with the thought of starting over.

I am fine now that it is done but in some ways I feel like I have never been away from the recovery process.
I think that the way you are doing it is better. Your first knee has had a great start on the road to recovery but you are not too far down the path. You will get knee two done soon and can get on with the recovery and then start picking up the threads of your life again.

2014 will be a spectacular year for you with two shiny pain free knees. :dancy:
It is not easy but it is worth it.

I am finding knee 2 different from knee 1. Overall it is easier. I will be interested to see how yours goes.

Have a great weekend,
Hugs, Toothfairy x  :spin:
