Good morning, I mean good afternoon Toothfairy, what a lovely message to awaken to. :puppysmooze: Thanks for sharing your "Tale of Two Knees" story. :heehee: I'm glad you can relate to my saga. :scary: I knew it would be like this, but as I get down to the days that I can almost count down on my fingers... Yikes :scare:

I'm taking away from your story, that one day (soon) I will be thinner, happy and enjoying life! :egypdance: Not that I'm dreadfully unhappy now, but pain can put a damper on life and derail your dreams. I plan on making some come true once I'm on the mend.

I'm out sitting in a cafe sipping coffee, when I hear my new theme song... "Hold On, I'm Coming." lol It will be played right after, "Ice Ice Baby" in the morning. lol
 
Well, my lovely outing had an unfortunate ending, but I did get yet another theme song out of it. :yahoo: After picking up my meds and getting a couple of things from the grocery store, I hopped in my car to find that the battery was dead. :gaah: I had a problem with this a few weeks ago, but I was holding off on buying a new one till after surgery/ My logic was, I won't be driving it and I can use the money now to get things I need in preparation for surgery, LIKE PRESCRIPTIONS and the OTC meds.

So I sat in the blazing heat waiting for the owner of the car in front of me to come out, so I could ask for a jump. She was nice enough to do so. :puppysmooze: I had decided if she had declined, that I would stand in the space once she pulled out waving my jumper cables wildly, and refuse to let anyone park who didn't first agree to help me. :yes: Thankfully, it did not come to that. :heehee:

As I took my little "rained on parade'd self" home I heard a familiar tune in my head, only the words had changed. It went... I'M SO TIIIIIIRED OF BEING BROKE, I'M SO TIIIIIRED BEING BROKE, WON'T YOU HELP ME GOD AS SOON AS YOU CA-AAAAN!:sos: The original tune is by Al Green is, "I'm So Tired If being Alone." Which I indeed am, and the two tunes basically go hand in hand... if I weren't alone, there'd be another adult responsible for holding the fort down, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH!

Well, since I didn't have the time and or energy to send out pity party invitations, and I already had a cheese sandwich, I didn't call Whine11. This isn't a big enough event to justify calling the WHAMbulance, so I decided I'm just gonna hum my new rendition till I changed my tune.:whistle: Anyone that knows me knows, this won't take long since I HAVE A SONG FOR EVERYTHING. lol

So, we wait.... :umm:

I feel a nap coming on, :yawn: maybe that'll do the trick. :sleep:


Hmmm... I got it! :tada: It's "WHAT'S GOING ON! :hissy: by, Marvin Gaye. Well... it's a start! :loll:
 
Are you kidding??? That is not cool! :no-fin: A dead battery...wow! I'm sorry to hear it. :sad: I wish I could think of something witty to say, but I am brain dead today and can't think of one thing. It may be all the congestion in my head that is backing up the flow of malarkey that I normally would spout! :tantrum:

At least I am not reading that the ODIC card was accidentally used or that it was skimmed. :giggle:

In fact w/me it's usually "one thing AND another." :cry:That's why I'm so crazy:spin: without any information. It's a Win Win. :egypdance:

Speaking of information... :martini: Maybe I can convince my adult son to finally purchase that bottle of Tequila I've been craving all summer. :beg: I'll put on my Pity Party hat and look pathetic. :bow: It could work. :umm: In any event, I plan on getting lit! :cheers2: before my next surgery and I go back to Wonderland with Alice and dance with the Oxycodone fairies. Lala Laaa!

Hope your day is going well and your ODIC card is safely tucked away. DON'T MAKE ME DRIVE WALK ALL THE WAY OVER THERE AND GET IT! :rotfl:

I have just had a late breakfast in bed, and lazing around on this Sunday morning. I have said every day I was going to shave my legs, and I haven't done it. My hairs on my leg are so long you can curl them. Desperate to do now, off to my 3 month check up with Surgeon in the morning. Need the leg to look pretty. Well off to do the big shave. Sleep well my friends. XOXO

It'll have to do. :martini: I'm thinking of making a lemonade daiquiri (since I have plenty of Ice Ice baby.) I've never made one before, but I do make a nice Lemonade Octane. I use a ginger lemonade for the base. that in itself is wonderful w/o info. For the octane part I add every imaginable kind of information. Saving that for my total recovery party. :beer: :egypdance:

Anyway, I don't have any ginger to juice but... Since we're making lemonade, yuk yuk, I said, why not make the best of it and improvise. :yes: So, I made a simple syrup and added ground ginger to it.:tada: I can use it to add to our regular lemonade too. I strained it and it's cooling now. MmmHmm, :cheers2: Hopefully my daiquiri will be a success, we don't have any info to waste. :no-fin:

How ironic that I would be making lemonade after the earlier events of today. lol New Song, Rock Wit it', Lean Wit It' or as Tony Soprano would say... Whaddya Gonna Do? :shrug:

I HAVE BEEN UP all day......The party is over, you slept through daughter stalker and my night party.
I am about to head off to bed really early, My surgeons appointment tomorrow, need to get my beauty sleep.
Its amazing how much better I feel today. Have a great day kiddo. XO
 
Now that I am reading your thread I see that I missed a whole conversation. :hairpulling: I am glad that you were able to make an awesome drink with lemonade. I don't do Rum, but I did in my early days! Rum and Coke! :sick: I think all they young drinkers were drinking that drink. I moved onto being a Jack Daniels and Coke drinker. Now I prefer Crown or Red Wine (Whine) in my old age. :heehee: Oh my...I sound like a lush! :rotfl: I really don't drink that much. It is just when I do these are my preferences.
