Leoni, I'm sure your boys are wonderful. With a funny and caring person like you for a mom how can they be anything but. Well... :umm: sometimes they tend to do their own thing, but all in all. lol Boys will be boys no matter what, mine are the highlight of my life. They are the one thing I know I did right. :egypdance: Now, to get them BOTH out of my house. :hairpulling:

daughter stalker, Knee pain, Dabber, Becca, ditzy dinah and Jsankowski, danceragainsoon,
Well ladies, I'm dusting of my sensible dancing shoes and seat cushion. lol About to start getting ready for my night out! :egypdance:

 "Whoa-Oh Here She Comes... watch out boys, she'll hit you with her cane." Oh, that's right! I'm not bringing my cane. At least not inside. Big Granny cane will NOT be rolling up in there. :rotfl: It WILL be in the car because I will need it to crawl up the 2 flights of stairs when I get home. :thud:

I plan on having a blast! There will be a little of this :martini: and plenty of laughter and seat dancing! :yahoo: and if they play my song... WATCH OUT! :happydance:Yep, the ODIC and the POTWUC card will come out of the purse once or twice tonight. :dancy:

Don't worry, I already went to the store to purchase ICE for The Morning After. :mcoffee: Wait... do I have coffee? Well, let me get moving. I can stay on here all day.

Will keep you posted.

Go Girl friend......I can see those hips shaking, while sculling a couple of :martini: :martini. Lucky you. Now the mother is going to come out of me, no mixing to many drugs and drinks together, or you will need more than ice tomorrow.
No I didn't mean that, you go girl, we have been in prison to long...lol. I so enjoyed my day out yesterday, although the road was quite challenging, you follow the ocean, ever so twisting, had to hold knees together, a little like a little girl wanting to go to the toilet.if I didn't hold the poor old TKR together it was moving side to side involuntary, it was 4 hours of unplanned exercise. Small things like a drive turned out to be very exhausting. Returned back home, and Noel asked was I up to looking for a new bed for our new house, well yes I was, really I wasn't but he wanted a new bed, I had to strike while the iron was hot. Went to 3 shops, really ready for a sleep, so found every bed I lied on so comfy. Any way purchased a new numbers bed, I'm so excited, it has a remote control for elevating legs, sitting up, and has a built in massager, I'm so spoilt, and doesn't look like a rehabilitation bed.it's going to be deliver to house the day we move in. King size.... OMG I'm going to lose my man. Enough of me raving of beds. The end story is my day was brilliant, but my evening was hell, pain meds I up during the evening, which I was a little disappointed in, and during my evening toilet break, pain and stiffness was at its highest. You do pay for small pleasures. It's ok, I will spend my sat today resting icing and elevating once agin to get my swollen painful knee under control agin. See you tomorrow sing I should have danced all night. XO

Good morning Bionic woman2,

I hope you had a wonderful time last night! Did you take any video of your dancing? I want to see how much of a wonderful time you had! I am ready to hear about it! Have a restful weekend!

Take care

Dear bw 2,
Are you there ? You are so quite this morning. Are you in the odic :no-fin: a large purse was found laying in the street
With multiple cards thrown about, your name was on all of them. they were all maxed to the limit :heehee:
Oh, dancing with the stars called, they want you in their line-up for the new season :rotfl:
Take care,
Diana :martini:

:mcoffee: Well ladies.... Here's the thing, my right knee isn't healed yet and my left one is basically broken. So my delusions of grandeur :egypdance: went by the way side when reality set in. :scary:I got home in wee hours of the morning aching, but not completely demolished. :thud: Surprisingly I woke up around 6:30 to hear my older son leave for work. I dosed off again, only to be awaken by my younger son who came in my room to fill my cryo machine. :skep: Hmmm... What do you want? I thought. Sure enough, he wanted informed that his friend was coming over around 2 pm. This is fine except for the fact that we didn't have any thing for them to drink or snack on and I desperately needed a Chick-fi-la biscuit to coat my :martini: and medicinal stomach. Sssssh! Knee pain lol I didn't over do it, I just didn't eat well the night before. Anyway, I crawled out of bed and actually drove to the store because we were trying to catch the breakfast hour. Besides, I didn't want to add having a heart attack to my ailments w/my learner's permit teen behind the wheel. :yikes:

As far as the night goes, Diana is a little of base. lol

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Not quite. :heehee: I wish I could say I danced the night away but NOT! I got up a few times, one was for a few Michael Jackson songs at the beginning of the evening and could already feel my knees singing... BEAT IT, BEAT IT, You're about to be defeated. :loll:So I sat my Big Cranny Cane-less self down and watched my girlfriend and others have a good time. :umm: At times I felt awkward and bored, which is a rarity for me. I think it's because I'm not a watcher, I participate. So this was EXTREMELY hard for my dance loving, exhibitionist self. I got the music in me is not just a song to me. lol Shoot I could even bust a move to elevator music. :dancy:

I did end up dancing to my Reggae music and paying for it dearly. :headbang: It just wasn't the same. Some how feeling the bones crushing down your legs while you dance takes away from the thrill of it all.:groan: Yep, The Old Grey Mare hasn't gotten her groove back yet, :cry:but when I do... WATCH OUT!

So daughter stalker, there's no video. She did take a couple of still shots. lol However, for now it's gonna have to be movies with dancing via Netflix. I can't take being in the thick of it and not being able to participate fully. :tantrum:

All in all it was a decent night out, I didn't do too much damage and my girlfriend had a blast! Something she deserved, plus since she's really been there for me during my recovery, so I hung in there like a trooper for her. We have horror stories about finding the right place at our age to go dancing. Dancing With the Stars has nothing on Dancing with your Nephew, or worst Son! :rotfl: I think she's found her spot. I on the other hand will be hanging up my dancing shoes till I can actually dance! When you're a card carrying member of ODIC, seat dancing is only fun for about 5 minutes. Then it's time to move. :happydance:

Speaking of moving, I'M NOT MOVING AT ALL TODAY. I have my foot elevate and I'm icing as I type. :)
Somebody say KNEECATION! :egypdance:

Enjoy your day/night everyone

Noel asked was I up to looking for a new bed for our new house, well yes I was, really I wasn't but he wanted a new bed, I had to strike while the iron was hot. YES! That sounds perfect for you and your hubby can adjust it to whatever he needs as well. Win Win! :yes!: Too bad you couldn't take a NAP in it right there in the store. lol Especially after your long and winding road, scenic but excruciating ride. :gaah: Sounds like my night out, loved to dancing, but hated the pain. One day we'll be able to experience beauty without pain.

Knee pain & Bionic woman2,

I have one of those beds, but it is a Tempur-pedic. I love my old lady bed. I've had it a year and a half. It was good for elevating before my TKR but after...I had issues with it when I came home from the hospital. I thought it would be wonderful as it was after my arthroscopy, but NOOOOOOOO!!!!! :headbang: I had issues with my leg elevated in the bed. In the straight leg splint my heel and ankle just hung there causing pain. I put a pillow under the heel and that didn't work. :boohoo: I hadn't slept with the foot of the bed down since I got the bed. I had trouble sleeping in the hospital because they wouldn't let me elevate my leg. I had to sleep with my leg flat on the bed at home too because I couldn't get comfortable with it up. In the past couple of weeks it has become much easier to sleep with the leg part of the bed elevated. It is quite interesting sleeping on my side with the leg part up. :skep: I only have to lay the bed flat when my knee really is hurting. Can't figure that one out

Enjoy your Kneecation! Have a wonderful day!

Well it's official, my left knee hurts more then my right one. :yes!: Wait, I don't know if a celebration  is in order because that means surgery is inevitable. :umm: Not that I didn't know that. I even have it scheduled, it's just that... daughter stalker get the cheese ready, I DON'T FEEL LIKE GOING THROUGH THIS ALL OVER AGAIN! :tantrum: Aaaah! there, I said it. Feel better all ready. Or maybe it's the new medicinal cocktail I'm trying. :martini: I woke up from a crazy sleep position and my hip hurt and leg was killing me. My hip is fine now, but my left knee is staying true to it's arthritic form. I took one 50mg Tramadol (which I had been taking) along w/one 5-325 hydrocodone from my arsenal. So if I should die of an overdose, :thud: you guys let'em know it wasn't suicide. lol Don't let them taint my good name or deny my boys their huge life insurance policy payment. :loll:

I'm okay now, laughter did it for me today. DS, looks like I won't need that cheese after all. :heehee:

As promised daughter stalker and Becca lol
Repost
Let's do it Becca. I'm also down for posting a piece of cheese anytime someone admits to whining. lol I'm not talking about when we are truly having a moment. :boohoo:That may not be too funny,:hissy: but we gotta keep ourselves going and laughter truly IS the best medicine "sometimes." Maybe not during or right after surgery though. :umm:

Can you imagine? "We're not going to give you anything for the pain, we're just gonna do stand-up." :rotfl: Oh, and when you come out of surgery, there's a bunch of people standing over you doing knock, knock jokes, and every 4 hours the nurse comes in with a new one. :loll:Um, NO! :no-fin: Give me my meds, save the laughter for after I've had my drugs please.

THIS IS FUNNY! I'm gonna post this on my page just because I can... I crack myself up. lol

I kinda like my color choice, I think I'm gonna call this "Repost Pink"

Bionic woman2

Hey! I like that humor in the repost pink. Pass the cheese and the information! :egypdance: Make it a double!:martini:

I can see my OS doing that! "You are already healed at 6 weeks and don't need anymore pain medicine." It is funny now :rotfl: :loll: :heehee: because it is so ridiculous :headbang: but also NOT funny because he honestly told me that. :gaah:!

You are getting close to #2! Only 17 days and you will be done!

Becca

Hahahahaha Becca, my Dr told me something like, it's not really gonna make much a difference now, meaning I was still gonna feel pain with or without drugs. :umm: Okay, may he never need his knees replaced! :hissy:

Yep, can and can't wait. :scare:

There's gonna be a whole lot of information being exchanged as we get closer to round 2. :martini:

Too bad there can't be a requirement for our OSs to have experienced not only TKR but also the recuperation...and I wanna say...with the limited pain drugs they allow their own patients.

There's gonna be a whole lot of information being exchanged as we get closer to round 2. :martini:

:rotfl:You know what they say...a little "information" is a dangerous thing. So a lot of it must be so...
much better!

Becca

:rotfl:Yes, in the search of true knowledge! A regular encyclopedia!
:martini: To tell the truth, I would love me an ice-cold apple martini right now. :martini: Yum...yum!

lol, I think it's the fact that I can't have a real knowledgeable study session due to meds, that makes me an "inquiring mind." To be honest, before surgery my friends say I have a "one drink maximum" limit. lol I think when I'm able to prove them wrong... I will!

I miss baking my gourmet cupcakes with and w/o info. I call them Grown Folk Flavors! I love to cook PERIOD and I'm also known as "The Alchemist." So, 4 months or so from now there's gonna be a whole lotta shaking going on! :martini:

Ha ha! I love to cook too but since school has started back I have avoided it as much as possible. And this summer since I was "recuperating," I really didn't cook at all. My poor hubby!

Alchemist, eh? That's a good one! :cheers2: It's a mighty fine skill that requires manual dexterity and skills and lots of current information!

Bionic woman2 come cook for me. At one time I really enjoyed cooking, but the last few years I detest cooking. :tantrum: It may have something to do with the drive I have to work. If I had it my way I would pick up lunch and dinner every day! :) I cook because I have to. :sigh:

The Alchemist (or simply, Alchemist) is an American record producer, DJ and rapper. Really, is this what you are Bionic woman2? Forgive me for looking it up. I had no idea what it was. :rotfl:

I'll cook for you daughter stalker and Fed-x it as soon as my knees allow me to really throw down in the kitchen again. :egypdance: And no, I'm not Alchemist the producer, DJ/rapper (I had to google it too!) but I do go by the name Lady Lo school when I rap academics and school rules for the kids. See... You didn't know, Lady Lo CAN flow. lol I need to write a rap about being the Bionic Woman now. :loll:

I'm called the Alchemist because I can whip up all kinds of informative concoctions, that taste fantastic and work wonders. :martini:
