Don't wear glasses. but I do have teeth. :biggrin:

I like my dentist, he works out of his home and has no assistants, never in a hurry.
He builds a wish list of things that need attention and when I get extra money, he rebuilds my mouth, kinda like a new hip.:wink1:

My hippy will be two months old tomorrow.
We had another dry day ( first, and likely last, in 3 weeks) and we went for a bike ride.

On the recumbent my legs are out in front of me. When I have swelling in my joint capsule, my left leg leans out at an angle and I can't bring it vertical.

Yesterday, I started out with my leg nearly vertical, maybe 2 degrees off. Best it has been in several years. :biggrin:

But as we rode it slowly leaned out again, obviously I am still getting some inflammation in there. After the 45 minute ride it was out about 20 degrees..

No pain but it was obvious that I have a ways to go yet before I am all done.

Hi John,

Wonderful to hear about the bike ride!! Do you really think that it is inflammation in the capsule/joint vs inflammation of the fascia or something less deep? What do you do afterwards to help it?

Lucky that you have a dentist with whom you feel so comfortable!

Seattle is so beautiful. every time I go there I love the place. My daughter lives there so I try going there when its hot in. I hope that this finds you having a very good day. and remember tonight we need to change our time. When I had asked the OS about the leg leaning out last year, he mentioned joint capsule. But it really could be anything. It doesn't hurt and is very firm.

I took ibuprofen for 12 hours.

the hip is not an issue anymore, the swelling was just something I noticed, it didn't stop me or hurt at all.:biggrin:

We are having some REALLY ugly weather this week, rain, high wind and predicting snow for Monday.

Yes, it's raining here too. I am just 300+ miles east of you and it started with wind and rain here late yesterday afternoon. Will see if I want to walk out side today.

Thanks for the info regarding swelling. Its surprising what I find out from the great bunch of folks on BS.

I was wondering how come the wandering pinches and pain and the knob of swelling on my hip. This might explain it all or then it could just be because it's windy outside. John--- Hang on to your bike I heard that we are getting 50 - 80 mph winds :rolleyespink: heading our direction.

Got a new issue, a pain down the side of my leg since last Monday, Ibuprofen has taken care of it until I see a PT this week.
This is my first PT since surgery and at my request.

I am not sure what this nerve pain is, I have had something similar every once in a while for years, it extends from my front pants pocket area to my knee and hurts when I bring my hip forward. Feels like a jab in my knee joint radiating up my leg.

Just by the fast, 10 minute, recovery time I am guessing it is nerve pain and by the fact ibuprofen controls it, I am guessing it is caused by swelling.

The nerve pain is just the opposite of stiffness, it is always fine when I get up and starts hurting as I move, getting to the point (with no ibuprofen) to where I can't walk at all in about 20 minutes.

Sit down for a while and it is all better.

It is managed just fine but I would really like to get back off the drugs.

I mowed the lawn and worked in the yard for 6 hours on Saturday before going on a long bike ride, so I am just fine on the ibuprofen.[FONT=&quot][/FONT]

My pain is on 1,6 and 8 if the missing labels on the knee follow the same convention.

The yardwork was not an issue, It was under the influence of ibuprofen so no pain resulted.
That's my pet forklift, forkie, I rescued, rebuilt and painted him. He was pretty sad when I got him.

Hey John....

Are you doing serious remodeling-construction projects on your house, kinda looks like lots of fun! You sound super active even though you have some aches and pain, my PT guy said the internal swelling can take. While t calm down that would help me on my stiffness,

Are you back at costocs yet working? Maybe you pushing to hard,

Her next project involves putting in a basement bathroom toilet, I get to run a sewer under an existing concrete slab floor. OH BOY!:wink1: :what:

Yup that is the problem alright, the strengthening exercises look complicated, I think I am going to wait until the PT looks at it tomorrow and see what she gives me.
