Hi again. I couldn't change the bold, blue text so had to start a new post.
I had my left hip replaced on Wednesday March 14th and all I can say this time is that it has been a piece of cake :yes 4:! Don't get me wrong, I am on 8mg Dilaudid every 3-4 hours, but I feel like a million $$$!
So, I came back to share this in case anyone else out there had a bad experience with a first hip replacement, never say never! This time I am even walking without crutches for small stretches. I have already forgotten to take pain medication because of the lack of pain.
On the morning of the surgery, my OS admitted to there being a 5/8 inch LLD and has evened that up and said that that alone may take care of the thigh/femur pain that has been ongoing since the first replacenment.
I am on top of the world right now. If it weren't for the wonderful members of Bonesmart, I don't know if I could have gone though this again, but you gave me the strength and courage to do it again!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for caring so much.
I will tell more later, but I am still quite tired and may need another transfusion on Monday. I have missed you all so very much. Thank you for getting me through a very dark time for a while. Much Love, Janet
