I am reiterating all this, not to bore you but because the comment that you posted "sounded" aggressive and somewhat condescending??
I do apologise - I can assure you it was aimed at the PT on your behalf and certainly not at you. I am afraid I do have a tendency to get a bit shrill at times but only because I care about the member's progress and well being. :thumb:

Thank you for explaining. You have nothing to apologise for. The good that you have done thru your work with BoneSmart speaks for itself. I am very grateful. All is well

Hi Dori, It's good to hear you say you are pleased with your knee, it's amazing how we can tell so quickly that it feels better than what we had. I feel the same way - I do believe we will be so pleased we made the leap! We just have to tough it out for a couple of months. Take care.

Hi Jo,
You sound happy with your new knee also. Just think...we can clise the chapter on all that pain. Im already looking forward to getting my left knee replaced.

The occupational therapist walked me back to my room to show me exactly how to adjust this hospital bed in order to properly elevate my knee. I really appreciated that and now I understand how to get my heart below the level of my knee to control swelling. It's made such a difference.

Hi Dori, That's good as it makes such a difference to get your legs elevated :thumb: How are you sleeping? I keep hoping luvtocamp is feeling a little better and more comfortable. Us January girls have got to stick together!! Take care and have a good day.

I am sleeping just fine. Being in the hospital, there are lots of interruptions thru out the night for various reasons. My kidney and bladder have re-awakened so I make couple of trips to the loo during the night. However, I have no problem drifting back to sleep and though the percocet still cause me to experience vivid dreams, this time around, they are not violent dreams, thank God!

I'm being discharged from the hospital in the morning. I've received what I needed here and I feel strong and ready to continue my recovery from home.

Hi Dori,

Been following your thread, and just want to add my good wishes to your speedy recovery now that you are home. Its so much easier to manage everything once there, and friends and family are around to cheer you up and help. All the best.:thumb:

That is good news Dori, you will be pleased to get away from the hospital environment and you will find it easier to be more in recovery mode.

Great news Remember to continue to rest, ice , elevate and take your pain meds

Great news Grandy Girl. Make sure when you get home they you take it easy and don't try to do too much. Ditto what newnee said.

So happy that you are going home Dori! Now remember...it is hard not to feel like you need to get up and take care of this or that and take care of other people. This is your time to rest and heal, anything else can wait on you! I am happy that things are going well for you. Please let us know how you settle in! :thumb:

Hi Everbody,

Just checking in to say hello an to let you know that I've settled in comfortably with my son and his family. My 5 year old grand daughter and 8 year old grandson are adding such a delightful element to my recovery. You're right... this is sooo much better than being in the hospital.

I've been able to my walk around the house using my walker 2-3 times a day, do my physical therapy, and am managing the pain successfully and am sleeping well. My apetite is not completely back yet but I am eating enough.

I'm down to 2 percocets a day rather than 2 every six hours. If I need more, I'll take more.

I am glad to read that you are doing well---having your grandchildren around also makes it certainly more enjoyable and allows the time to pass more quickly! Yo are doing fine and making solid progress. Thanks so much for updating and letting us know how things are going.

Perfect!!!!! Now let the good healing begin!!!

A lovely report Dori and I'm envious that you have your grandchildren to keep you company - enjoy!
