I think you are a great example on this forum Dori. You are consistently upbeat and always looking at the positive side of what this knee surgery gives us. You also seem to have lots of that elusive thing called patience!

I still get frustrated with the progress of my second knee. I know I am not up to doing a full day's guiding yet as the knee still gets uncomfortable after lots of walking and standing.

But I can do pretty much what I want in terms of everyday life now. I have just spent two days on the Isle of Wight, just off the south coast of England doing short walks and watching the waves crash on the shore - I love the sea too! And on Monday I went to a Warhol exhibition in London.

I've never heard of Rollover Pass but it sounds amazing. I hope you catch lots of fish!

Hi Dori

I love your new toy, talk about do it with style!!! It looks amazing and so comfy - if it was mine on a beach I don't think I would move, ever! You will sure have some fun - enjoy it. Diane is right about your positive attitude and I agree you have set a fantastic example to this forum. I always make a point of looking for your posts when I log in. Take care xxx

Wow...thanks so much! It's interesting how others see us. I never think of myself as an example of 'anything'. I feel like I have learned so much from all of you, even how to use this forum as a place of encouragement and support. We all have had our bleak moment during recovery but I don't feel that any of us really stay in that place for long. We share, we get the help we need, and then we turn it around and give it away to someone else. The main thing that I have learned is to trust the process and to learn to accept the wisdom from others who have gone down this path before me. I listened and I learned. Now I have something of value to share with others.:tada:
