Little boys are awesome! Mine is not so little now, but I miss him. He's been camping all week. I hope your back settles soon @plnppl (& your husband's), but glad that your knees held up!

My little boy wears the same sizes as his dad at age 14. He started his Freshman year. Oh the time goes too fast!!!

@plnppl He overdid it yesterday long PT and a shower. So he is having some pain, it is starting to ease up a little now. He goes home this afternoon. He was doing great until last night.
My little boy is 36 and works for a computer company that has him working with mircosoft.
My daughter is 34 is an RN and I often babysit her 3 1/2 year old boy. My grandson, silly little guy - to explain grandpa's knees we told him grandpa got robot knees.

Good job on the grocery shopping & using assistants. Grocery shopping still wipes me out, though I can do it.

I survived my trip to the cottage, learned a few things, ate really well and slept better than ever. I love fresh air for sleeping!!

@H2OPoloMom glad that you slept. Fresh air certainly does help with sleeping. I am exhausted as we have our Grandson here again and went to Kindergym. Hubbie was able to follow him around but my knees are yelling at me. I have Gym this afternoon so while Grandson is asleep I will be napping and resting as well!

Had PT today. It must have been a 5th visit because they measured my ROM. 124!!! Yeah for some progress!! Rode the bike again. The first few rotations were slow, but then it was easy going. Can't wait till I can ride outside!

@H2OPoloMom That's great news. My physio said it's not meant to go much further. I gave my third Gym session tomorrow morning. I like the recumbent bike but like you am fairly slow starting and by the time up gets comfortable it's time to finish!:biking:

@plnppl sometimes I wish I could just bike my whole PT visit, pop some music on and go! Is kindergym like an indoor playground? Sounds like your hubby's back is doing better. Don't overdo it with your knees. It may be harder to do now, but is never good. What other kind of exercises are you doing at the gym?

@H2OPoloMom @tiredwife I do weighted leg lifts, step ups, sit ups from a sitting position and a pulley exercise to strengthen my back. Not doing any of it today as I had a bout of food poisoning last night and feel awful tomorrows another day.. Right?

Big day! Heading to school to put my chemical order away and bring in some of the supplies that I've purchased. I'm bribing my girls with lunch to do most of the physical work and be pack mules. After lunch, it's off to the orthodontist where hopefully my youngest will get her braces off, then to the dentist. I have my antibiotic, and just need to remember to take it. The last time I did, I was nauseated all night. Hopefully it was a coincidence and stress of that last appointment and not the antibiotics. Guess I'll find out for sure tonight. Wish me luck!

@H2OPoloMom Eat a little something with the antibiotics, and yogurt helps if they give you the runs. Have a good day and don't overdo it. What do you teach, can't remember if you said before, seems to be a lot of teachers on here! Good luck:fingersx: for a great day!

Well, we left late because my oldest worked out late (her friend was late). We didn't have time to get lunch and just barely made it to the orthodontist (2more visits). They were running behind, so we couldn't get lunch before going to the dentist and I had to take my meds on a totally empty stomach which I wasn't thrilled with, but had to do. Finally got home around 3:30 and ate for the first time today (while icing and elevating).

@tiredwife , I teach chemistry and this year have a section of biology. My chemical order is mostly put away, but was disappointed that several of my beakers came chipped and broken and was missing some amber bottles that I had ordered. This is very unusual for the company that I order from and have no doubt that they will be replaced.

@H2OPoloMom Hope the pills didn't upset your stomach? I loved biology, chemistry I wasn't as good at. I am a rockhound type person, love geodes, fossils, crystals, etc. You have to have a lot of patience to be a teacher. My daughter in law is a teacher. Just got her degree and is subbing until a spot opens in one of the schools she is interested it. It is a shame that your order came in with broken and missing items. Maybe the company hired a new person that wasn't careful. Have a good nights sleep anyway, elevate and ice.

@H2OPoloMom wow you will be busy! I hope that you don't overdo it! Wishing you luck! I went for a walk today with hubbie, nearly 1 kilometre. Haven't walked for a few days due to the good poisoning bug an feeling better today. My right knee is doing really well and I am so happy with it but not so much with the tight knee. Hubbie says to be patient as it had more work done and it's only just ten weeks! Hoping that's he is right!

@tiredwife, when I was young, I loved looking at rocks. They are like pieces of art to me each having their own unique qualities. I hated identifying them, but loved to look. My youngest is the same; I cannot tell you how many times I've heard the clunk clunk clunk of a rock in the dryer collected on one of her adventures. My stomach managed the antibiotic burst just fine last night, and I'm so grateful for that! I hope your daughter in law finds a position that works for her. Despite getting slammed on all the time by politicians, I love my job, I love the kids, and it is a rewarding career. I hope she finds the joy there is to be had in teaching!

@plnppl, despite the crazy that was yesterday, my pain didn't go up though I did have a nasty night. Couldn't get comfortable and the knee cramps acted up. I should have had a banana, next time. So glad to hear that you are recovering from the food poisoning. It must be nice to go on walks with your husband; I look forward to a few with my husband once things settle down some around here. Your husband is probably right about being patient, but it does get hard to be patient after 10 weeks. Hang in there! Any plans for the near future? Visits from grandchildren?
