THR Cpollock Surgery June 19, 2017<

Cheryl Logan is 11 and Emily is 9 they live about a half hour away. Our church is opening another chapter by there house so we won't see them every Sunday. We're sad we won't see them quite as often but glad the church is growing. I've had back issues since age 16 crushing L5 and breaking the tail bone at the same time. Heat 15 min then ice 15 min usually helps.

Fond memories going on a Sunday car ride with grandparents and stoping at Fosters old fashioned freeze and having a pineapple freeze. When my father was in the hospital with cancer a pineapple freeze waste the only thing he would eate. I'd sneak them in to him. Wow some memories are love/hate

@Gone again OUCH was there a "watch this!" involved? I am sorry that you have back problems, but glad you have grandkids, even half an hour away. Around here that distance is still pretty darn local LOL. Spread-out town. I may yet have grandkids-- at least the relevant personnel took a pre-first step towards that not too long ago!

I went to PT yesterday and my leg is still weak in the one area, the gluteus. I was given 2 exercises to strengthen it and go back in 2 weeks. I'm just to use the cane now and hopefully I will be limp free when I go back.
I received some bad news yesterday. My son Jeff and his wife Dara lost their baby. Darn went for an ultrasound and there was no heartbeat. They are waiting for her body to accept the loss and miscarry. This is very devastating.
I hope you're all doing well. Cheryl

Oh Cheryl @cpollock that is VERY devastating. I've had two, I know a bit how she feels. Please when the time is right give her a foot rub for me. My mother-in-law did that as I was resting from one D&C on her couch, it is the very sweetest memory I have of her from my early years in the family. And hugs for your son too.

Sadness, dashed hopes and unfulfilled dreams......heartbreaking!
You're all in my prayers @cpollock

I'm so sorry to hear this, Cheryl. Very sad for everyone. Sending thoughts and prayers your way for you and your family.

Terribly sad news...so sorry.
Glad you are doing better. We are thinking of you.

Thinking of you today, Cheryl and hoping you're all finding the peace and comfort you need to heal.
Wishing you brighter days ahead!
@cpollock

Dara, my daughter in law, is very nervous waiting for the baby to abort. Her body hasn't recognized the loss yet. I'm not sure why a D&C isn't scheduled but I don't ask questions, I will know what she shares with me. My son Jeff said they are coming to terms with it now won't be able to move on and have closure til the process is complete. Very sad time.

it is sad, Cheryl, that waiting part must be horrible. I think the D&C vs natural is just the OB's preference? I was the infertility queen, and I think my OB/GYN was trying to make sure everything was good for the next try. I know many who have had to wait...I hope they can get some time off work?

I am just so sad for your whole family it's heart breaking. I like what zaubs MIL did .... Huge hugs to you Prayers too....Take good care of you and your son and DIL it's all you can do

Thank you for your kind words @313Lola.
Dara was given medication to speed on the miscarriage now.
I hope you're all doing well. Cheryl
