Elosarabrab oh no I can see that now-- tooooo funny! Like scattering kibbles all over the floor and watching them play 52 pickup. I would try that except there are two cats and they are indeed competitive. The third cat gets fed separately. I was quite successful feeding all thrree an hour ago yay me!
octopus I never thought of that-- he might freak out. I think he'll just have to remember how to haul himself up on the cushion on my lap (he did that earlier today while I was watching a movie, and it was very nice indeed.)
Littlejem you are too kind... :) yes, chocolate truffles, definitely! No hot cocoa for me, it's 90F out and the a/c is on. Cold cocoa drink maybe? Did they have cold chocolate drinks at that Death By Chocolate restaurant? (choc martoonie doesn't count)
Liveringer oh boy extra ice cream-- I'll bet you put your upper body strength to the test and made BarbaraR 's recipe!

zauberflöte Great job with the '9 day post-op show'. Sounds like YOU should be the creative one with the making up the stories for 'positive imagery.' Talk about imagination! Now we don't just have Canadians and diamonds, we have Canadians who bring diamonds. Why didn't I think of that??!
Keep 'em comin'. You've got a great audience here, we're all ears! And all smiles! :)

zauberflöte You must be really hot down south in Virginie, because we're almost 90 here in Conn. And hubby can't get the A/C's installed because his back is out of commission. This is one time, I'm happy to be icing. :)

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :loll:Ohhhhh I SO needed this today....you guys crack me up! I have visions of tall dark Canadians tromping through my mind now, bring diamonds and chocolate! I can hardly wait for the next installment of As The Hip Turns. I don't have any chocolate, but I am making a rhubarb crisp that I can contribute to the party. Rhubarb is good for making things "move along", if you get my drift. :heehee:

As my son just said, ByGosh, even when we put an air conditioner into his bedroom window my husband is begrudging about having him turn it on! lol (Of course, kid likes it 60 degrees in there.......) In such an old house with rattling windows, we don't do A/C units except in kids' rooms. We have ceiling fans in kitchen, the eating area off that, and our bedroom.
But, an advantage of this old house, we have 24 inch wide stone foundations, and so far our downstairs is relatively cool! (A piano student yesterday thought we had central air!! :rotfl: )
sqwerlie: Are we having a party? I just made this broccoli slaw salad, and it's got more fiber than anything else I can imagine. I'll offer it! It sure gets things on the move....!

90F :yikes: that's just not fair, I have the central heating on here and it's almost June for goodness sake!!
Well, my mom told me that there was 3 feet of snow last weekend up at Lake Placid in New York State. Good for summer skiing!

sqwerlie rhubarb!!! YUM! I love the stuff! I had forgotten about that little property, too... and Songlady I may pass on the slaw... er, pass, er... um...*flounders*........ brightly, "Well! Who'd like some more chocolate ice cream??"
ByGosh it's not so hot as it might be, and the humidity hasn't totally settled in yet-- we won't be completely miserable until July, probably.
Gnight all!

Hi ZF

I am just back from my hols, and pleased to find that things are going pretty well for you after your op.

I am very impressed that you have been fitted with a magic hip. I've asked around, but I don't think these are available yet in the UK. Did you have to pay extra for it?

I suppose simple stuff like levitation is fitted as standard, but perhaps you have to request the top-of-the-range model for Frogs Into Handsome Princes, or similar more sophisticated applications?

Keep that Spell Book Manual well hidden from Mr ZF.

Being from such a small country compared to USA, it seen so weird to have such vast temperature differences, 90 degrees in one state and 3ft of snow in another seems so crazy!!
Littlejem This was not just from state to state it was within a state. We weren't quite 90 degrees but we were in the 50's that particular day when approximately 5 hours north of me, got all that snow. You find that amazing, I could be sunbathing on the back porch, but 8 minutes from me in either direction could be having tornado warning and storming like crazy. My league calls me and always asks if we are going to cancel because of rain. I tell them they need to show up anyway to plan their make-up games. My point here is that in the last 2 weeks it was storming at one's house but at the courts it had either cleared up or not rained at all.

Hey sqwerlie that rhubarb crisp sounds interesting, I was given a big bunch of the stuff a few days ago and other than crumble I don't know what to do with it!! :)
