Glad you.replied @busylizzie. I thought it might be something my ogre sense was tingling.
I know how it feels often seeming to be.stationary or going backwards I was there not very long ago and it was.the help understanding and support of a very good friend that pulled me out of the mire. As you I don't know what will be outcome but we have friends here who know first hand how it is. I try to give myself wee goals as constant failure of not or poss ever reaching the main goal well. you know. I'm soooooooo sorry you feel you might give up baths despite enjoying the comfort. Have you thought of megga bubble bath so big it gets to your nose and end up.sneezing bubbles everywhere. I can understand how the frustration gets but hey crimbles is coming and I might even post pic.of. snowogre now surely a 54yr old chap doing snowogres shows life ain't to.bad. take care and dr ogre perscribes 1 laugh.a.day. heck log on here and see how the ogre is bambooozled by marauding ladies.
Keep in touch

@Legin, thank you for your lovely post. You are very caring. You know it takes more muscles to smile than frown. So at least I will get some exercise!

@Legin, have you got either Gabapentin or Lyrica? I have tried both. I ended up being admitted to hospital after I keeled over in the garden on the 2nd day of the Gabapentin. They started me on too high a dose they think. It is a no no now. The Lyrica was better but I didn't feel right on it. I got it from pain management guy. You have to very slowly build up the dose. It can affect your mind and it gave me fluid retention and I put on weight with it. It didn't really help with the nerve pain. I had to slowly wean myself off it.

@Nana moon 27, guess what. The podiatrist gave up on me and took the orthotics back. Unwilling to try anything else before she gets to know what's wrong. I have CT scans next Tuesday of both ankles, knees and hips along with leg measurement. I see the pain management team first week in the new year followed a few days later by the foot/ankle specialist. I hope he has some answers by then!

Oh Sue

They mess up like that, then unprescribe them. Oh good luck with your ct scanner. I hope everything works out for you x x x

@Legin, crossed posts. Has the GP started you off on a low dose of Gabapentin? I think it was 300mg they started me on instead of 100mg. My body didn't like them. I banged my head when I fell and hurt my right elbow. I had to stay in hospital 2 nights.

@Nana moon 27, I am hoping the CT scan will reveal the problem. I will be very surprised if it doesn't show up the mal rotation. I think it is in more than one plane. My foot is so twisted round. The only way I can get it flat on the floor is to swing my right hip out quite a way and that just sets my back off.

Oh @busylizzie

I do hope they find and can help with your leg problem. I'm praying and crossing everything for you for Tuesday xxx I'm not at my best tonight. I'm tired and fed up. A bit down x it's been a busy day though and a lot to cope with x x x

Love Nana moon27 xox

@Nana moon 27, I'm the same today. I feel out of salts as if I'm going to come down with something. We were supposed to be going out for brunch at a local garden centre but I said that I didn't really want to go. I have been weepy a few times today and not done anything useful. We had granddaughter again today and hubby did some baking with her and entertained her. I usually join in but not today. I feel lethargic. I am having trouble with my tablet charging. It is a new Tesco Hudl 2. It has got me really frustrated, normally it wouldn't get to me. I have given my old one to my grandson so I can't go back to using that.

I just want the scans over and done with and this leg sorted the best it can be.

You have done well to keep going today. You have had an emotional afternoon. I hope you get some sleep tonight.

Oh @busylizzie

I'm not sure, I think this may be anxiety about Tuesday, that you're suffering. It must be so hard when you have all this stuff going on day in and day out. People do not realise how a recovery that's not straightforward, takes some doing and coping with. Add into the mix your extra issues with your leg, pain issues, the new hudl tablet taking some getting used to, it makes the life balance a bit off kilter x I'm sure once Tuesday is over, I feel that you will settle again xxx

I do hope that you can get some sleep. Sending you a (((big hug))) xxx

Love Nana moon xxx

@Nana moon 27 , I think it is the waiting that is getting to me. The scans don't worry me. I have had CT and MRI scans before. My leg isn't settling down at the moment and I can't seem to find anything that is helping. It will be another month before I see the specialist and then I will have another wait to see my knee consultant again. This last 4 1/2 years since I started with this knee pain have been a nightmare. I want to see light at the end of the tunnel.

Hi @busylizzie

I can understand the waiting bugging you. Waiting is the worst part when you're in pain and don't sleep. All you want is to get treated and sorted out. Trouble is our NHS was never meant for the population, it's having to cope with now, or the fact people are living longer too.

I don't know if you remember but the first hospital in February did an X-ray on my non TKR, saying if there wasn't too much deterioration in six months they'd try to save my knee. They promised me a follow up X-ray in September. I' waited six months. When I got there no X-ray and they fobbed me off saying I was under the care of the surgeon who did my knee replacement. When he looked at the X-ray from February he shook his head and told me and my husband it needed replacing. He couldn't understand why the other hospital had said they could maybe save it. Well I got really upset and said I didn't want to undergo this surgery. He said at best he could maybe offer me an arthroscopy. However, it rests on the planned X-rays in January. I think in my heart I know what's going to happen x

The funerals hit me rotten tonight. I've lay up here and cried. I'm going to try and sleep soon but I have to do some stuff on my online CBT because I still have this I can't be bothered head on. This is the first year my tree isn't up yet. To be honest this sounds dreadful and so unlike me but I'm not bothered about it.

Take care
Love Ann xxx

Hi Nana moon 27, it is the waiting then the fear of being fobbed off that gets to me too. I have been fobbed off too many times. The podiatrist being the last one this week. I seem to have to take on the whole medical profession to get something done each time I have a problem. It is very wearing. At least my GP is supportive but there isn't much she can do. The stress isn't helping my digestive system. I have enough trouble with it normally without this.

Funerals get to me too. I get emotional. I hope the CBT is helping. Let's hope we get some sleep tonight.

Oh please let's hope so. I'm so flipping emotional tonight. I knew I would be though xx I wish you a lovely nights peaceful sleep. Love Ann xxx
