THR Worries about pain and recovery<

l have one lump under scar on buttock area which is where all the pain seems to radiate from.
Perhaps you could show me where this lump and pain is using this chart. Use the references down the sides and across the top to show me which square it is in.

T..L1B Josephine...just where l sit and sleep!!!

Not due to see him until next week...seems slightly warm in that area...not excessively so...

I'm sorry it's distressing you.
I don't think it can hurt to ice it...or let me rephrase...I know it's painful so I mean maybe you could see if ice helps.
As you know it is late in the UK so Jo will probably not respond until tomorrow
Hematomas aren't extraordinarily uncommon so do try not to get too stressed (easy for me to say, I know)
I would certainly make my OS office aware of it tomorrow irregardless of the upcoming appointment and the fact that it is in the most uncomfortable of places.
Hope you can close your eyes and get some rest...hope you have some meds for the pain.
Healing hugs your way!

Good morning Jo...did you have a view on the lump l indicated ???.....xxx

Good morning fellow "hippies"....my lump has gone down considerably... ...and the whole leg is feeling much more comfortable...knee still tight...when doing excersizes...but...so much more comfortable...please , let me have turned a corner ...have a lovely , comfortable, day everyone.

Jo has been off the forum.. but so happy to see that lump is going away!:happydance:
Onward and upward, friend:egypdance:

A question to all. Perception??? Which one of the 3 friends (holiday in Skiathos last year) am l ???
one of these gorgeous friends has been my "carer " for the last 2 and half months, she lives 200 miles from me. She picked me up and said "you are coming home with me (after lst OP. went wrong) and we are going to a private consultant and you are not going home until you'rre sorted "

How lucky am l? l hope you are all as well looked after X

What a lovely and rare find in a friend!
You must be a pretty cool friend too for her to offer!
These times of need sure bring the best life has to offer into focus!

Thankyou Josephine.. will look further into that....appreciate your advice....

Could be a creepy bump that went away:heehee:
:fingersx::fingersx: double fingers crossed just a hiccup!:ok:

Well...its more or less flat today and l slept for 4hrs straight through ...that's a first...whatever it was...l dont want to meet it again ....

Glad you got some rest:sleep:
Hope you power nap all you can in the day.
My guess is Lumpy might have been a seroma
A seroma is a sterile collection of fluid under the skin, usually at the site of a surgical incision. Fluid builds up under the skin where tissue was removed. It may form soon after your surgery. Or it may form up to about 1 to 2 weeks after surgery. It may look like a swollen lump and feel tender or sore.

A small seroma is not dangerous. Depending on its size and symptoms, it may not need to be treated. The seroma may go away on its own...
Bye bye lumpy!

Hahahahahaha...hope you're right Mojo and do you know what l have my own personal Mojo back....feels good....

Now that's what we want to hear...get that good Mojo cranking and know that you are going to be so much better than before!:tada:
There will be some bumps, but you've got this!:ok:

Bursa? Haematoma? Seroma? It's flat and pain subsided. l do feel lucky. Thankyou
