Thanks all!
I've followed your challenges Lisa and I did think it sounds similar. I just get a bit frustrated that I feel I could be a bit better than I am. Physio and OS a week on Tuesday so will see what they say.
Sandy, the good thing about being overweight is that the solution is entirely up to me! As my weight goes down I hope that my BP does too.
May will come and go before you know it. I'm sure that August 2012 will see you feeling a lot better.
I gave up cycling some years ago Billy as I couldn't swing my leg over the bike and it became a bit dangerous. This year though! Would a bit of gentle cycling not help you?
Couldn't agree more Roger!
Then the healing really begins Roger! You're an old hand at this now
You're right Dave, what a difference a year makes!
.... your symptoms do sound similar to mine, which WAS diagnosed as tendonitis.....the 'cure' has been to rest (using crutches again) and anti inflammation drugs. However, I did try stretches and a chiropractor before that.

Hi Cappy, sorry you are having a few probs with BP and weight, they certainly do go hand in hand....
I just can't project forward 1 year with #2 hip surgery around May this year... I just have 1 Aug 2014 in mind (date of retirement)... really hoping for full and complete recovery from both by then.

Hang in there you seem to have a plan and you know now that time is the healer. Was going to get tjhe bike out the shed and do some cycling but now remember it was the cycling that made my knee worse which resulted in the hip replacement the last time.

I still think you need a bit of sunshine, though, to get back that joie de vie you were missing a few weeks ago.

I'll just be glad when I've had No 2 done now - only 3 weeks to go. My sunshine trip ends on Wednesday and then it will be back to the cold and damp, pre-ops and then the big day !

Whilst the journey is not quite over, you have come a long long way.
You're right Dave, what a difference a year makes!
