Cappy, you are doing great! So glad you are getting back to normal life. Bet the concert was a blast!

Ah my friend, I am so glad to hear things are going so well for you! Keep up the great work and please don't over-do it...you know me, the worry wort :th_heehee:.

Imagine, not wanting to take advantage of a few extra weeks away from work! You must be feeling good! Way to go Cappy :yahoo:!

My advice is to make the most of this time now.....the bit where you feel great but are still off work - it's the best bit! I was shattered when I went back, still am! :loll:

You sound as if you are doing brilliant, Cappy. :dancy:Wey hey. Enjoy your next few weeks of freedom . . . you deserve it.

Excellent news, Cappy! I would like to second everyone - enjoy this time before you go back to work :thumb: Just have fun and enjoy your new hips!

'Morning hipsters.

I saw my GP yesterday and she has agreed that I can go back on a phased return from Monday. :dancy:

Normality beckons!

So, I am going to activate my gym membership from 1st November - it's been suspended since April - and work on my fitness, r o m and weight.

Hope that hipland is finding everyone OK this morning - it's even sunny in Glasgow !

Hi Cappy

Sounds like a big day on Monday - I expect you've got mixed feelings. Great to feel well enough to return but sorry to lose the freedom you've enjoyed for the last few months.

I will be interested to hear how you get on at the gym. I used to belong to a local gym but stopped in 2007, before I had my spinal decompression. The hips then started playing up and I haven't been since.

With the new hip such a success, and hopefully No 2 early next year, I think a renewed membership might be in order to regain some of the fitness I have lost.

I will be interested in the range of exercises they recommend and, particularly, what they recommend you don't try.

Good luck for next week - but don't overdo it . . .:thumb:

Funny that as I'ts been sunny in Edinburgh as well, stunning weather for October :skeptical: does that mean there is a monsoon around the corner. :hissyfit:
Anyway great to hear everything is going great and I am sure that you don't need me to remember you not to do stupid things at the gym and mind and take it easy at work.

Billy

Great news on the return to work Cappy. We will miss you here though. Do stop by and continue to update us on your progress. Hope you can ease into work again and not get too tired.

All the best!

Cappy

Take it easy on your return to work. A phased return is the best way forward if that is possible.

As for your tast in music - its good. Like Jamie I also am not familiar with them but then I am an old f-art!

I'm into hip op music again right now!!!

Good luck with getting back to work Cappy! Now, your new life will start. Let us know how you are doing.

Good luck with the return to work - Be prepared to feel exhausted those first few weeks. I needed afternoon naps!:sleepz: It was good to get back to normal though.

Thanks all for kind wishes and birthday greetings!

Tomorrow's back to work day. I'm doing 4 half days this week, three full days next week, then back to normal hours.

Gym membership starts again on Tuesday - I will just be doing my physio exercises plus a bit of cycling.

Next thing on the agenda is to lose the extra pounds I've put on post surgery - and then lose the ones I put on pre surgery!

Good luck tomorrow Cappy! Sounds like you are going to be a busy boy. Don't forget us!
