THR Seeing the Light!

Oh @lovesstars What difficult situation you are in. I have to say, I ditto everyone on the situation with your Mum being there and the concerns about your trip. Your Mum leaves a week today (still Sunday in my time zone!) and that hardly gives you the time to recoup a bit before you turn around and get on a plane....I am worried for you. How much would it cost to change your Mum's ticket to an earlier departure?

As for the US news, it is difficult watching for sure. I was born in NYC, where my Mum was from. I am glad she isn't around to see what is going on at the moment, and I'll leave it at that.

Emotionally and energy wise you sound to be at the end of your quota by the sounds of things, and I believe we all would be under the same circumstances.

Please please take care of yourself this week as best you can.
Sending you a huge Cyber hug and positive thoughts......

@Jaycey no decision yet. Husband seems to think I will make leaps and bounds in progress in next ten days. Haha he is hopeful. Time will tell. :bored:

If you do take the trip @lovesstars --and I'm not suggesting you do, think it's asking for trouble-- but FYI I got a "portable" foam toilet seat riser on Amazon for the upcoming work I thought I'd be doing which involved staying in hotels, but doubtful I will be able to swing it now. Anyways, it's about six inches tall, soft and straps onto the toilet seat for travel. Also good for other trips down the road if you don't do the wedding trip. Really hoping it all gets sorted out for you soon; the mom, the heat, pain, walking, travel decisions. It's a full plate for you.

Although the portable toilet seat, @1stSurgery, seems like such a good idea, I think I would die of shame if I was bringing my own toilet seat in a tote bag onto an airplane. If I am at that point I am just freaking staying home.

This morning I made mom cinnamon toast and a salad for our lunch. NOW I AM ON THE COUCH ON THE ICE MACHINE, lest their be any doubters out there. Also — @Layla @Josephine I switched to the Tylenol 1000 every six hours so let’s see how today goes.

I asked my husband to help adjust my socks because they were ‘bunchy’ at the top which drives me nuts. He promptly tucked my pants into my socks because he knew I would hate it and I couldn’t reach down to fix it....he was laughing hysterically. TRICKSTER!!!

Rainy and cold here so on the couch attached to ice seems good — and bad — at the same time. But I am, thankfully, wearing wool socks. Supposed to jump to summer temperatures on Wednesday...and the furnace people are coming tomorrow to look at the house heating.

Where do you guys get those cute gifs from. They are making me laugh - love the hiding behind the door one @lovesstars . Hope things are going better for you now - you are having a tough time. No squatting here - I hate my raised loo (toilet) seat but it is a necessity for now!

Right above the area where you type, @SurreyGirl, you see a smiley face? Click on it and you will see choices of emojis.

The walker, the raised toilet seat, all of the things "old people" are supposed to be using, but not us, right @lovesstars
Very humbling...and can be slightly depressing! But ALL NEEDED, ALL TEMPORARY, ALL WORTH IT.

Hope today is a Good Day...Healing Mojo coming your way:loveshwr:
