I'm right there with you guys Wberry and Maggie....I managed a short nap today but I kept dreaming that I was awake and couldn't sleep..Really???Why must my brain play games with my very tired and irritated body? Soo NOT cool! Anyone have any luck with Ambien or other sleep meds short term?

Thank you Vinny..I had a very enjoyable time considering some of the circumstances. .I grew up around boats so I made sure I only got up to take photos..and when I did there were a swarm of people wanting to assist..really glad nobody fell overboard trying to help me :) I found the hardest part was at the dinner..we arrived at the restaurant at 830 and we left at 12:15...I was able to get up a few times and hobble around but sitting at those lengths of time and not having any ice or not being able to elevate was rough..and yes..Groot has been reminding me all day..Resting and icing today...

Sorry you didn't get to fully enjoy your evening out. I don't think I would have braved a boat...want to keep both feet on still ground until they both are functioning well again! Hope the Vicodin will help...be sure to take it with a bit of food until you know how it will sit in your stomach.

A sail boat and sunsets. At least sailing is not on the list of no can does after surgery. Can't do it right now, so I take my remote control 36ft scale to the pond and cruse around. The kids love it, because it's a real sail yacht in the small. So I have to tack to get back across the pond and everything. So relaxing until I can get back in a boat again.

You have to do whatever works for your spirit Wberry! You will be back in a boat again in no time!

@Spencieca Don't know what's going on with the alerts lately but glad I poked my head in here. You two are just the cutest!!:roseshwr:

So sorry about the sleep situation! I'd planned to go back to work next week and now I'm wondering if I shouldn't push it back another week. I'm still napping every day because I haven't slept through the night in 2 months. Napping at work just won't do!

What we all wouldn't give for a good night's sleep!

Reporting I am off my narcotics. Slept longer on aleeve and less swelling. On only aspirin and aleeve alternating every 6-8 hours. I have tramodol just in case, but I am holding off it.

So sorry to hear about the bad effects of the Tramadol. But, I'm glad your doctor realized that you still need a prescription strength med for a while yet. Sounds like you'll be fine. As suggested, do be sure to eat something with each dose, though.

Hi Maggie..I did sleep better last night that I have slept all last week, so that is a plus..Thanks for asking! Just got home from PT with the nice therapist and she got me to 80...Im almost at week 6 and 80 is as far as I have gone..this time it hurt but not real bad, it was a pain I could tolerate...my husband thinks Im just not pushing my self hard enough to get past my "comfort zone", which by the way is NOT that comfortable! when the PT was bending it today she could tell it just didn't want to really go much further...Im starting to feel like a wuss! One of the PT assistants said that he has seen a LOT of people come thru the office who have had MUA's and some have had multiple ones...He said it has nothing to do with Me, it has to do with my body and how it is healing and working on the inside..made me feel a bit better..My doctor appt is tomorrow so we shall see with the OS has to say...If I do an MUA will it set me back as far as driving and doing things Ive just now been able to do on my own? So many questions, soo little patience! Groot needs to get on the SAME page as Laura!!!!!!!!

Yay @wberry ....Im doing Vicodin only at night so far, however I did take 1 tablet just now after PT because Groot is a bit cranky at the moment..he didn't like being pushed to 80 ROM today....

Hey Laura glad you had the nice PT today. Can I suggest that you take 5minutes and write out the questions you have for the OS? I do this every visit and that way I get all the answers I want at that time. Here's to Groot getting on the same page. Maggie x

Laura!! Just discovered that...Maggie s next not sure she is Maggie thought she slipped once and said something else .........

Vinny
