What BJ said:iagree: . At least you know you're overdoing. But I know you have to do what you have to do. That dang snow won't shovel itself darn it. Be good to yourself Tessa. Go ahead and build that snowman, even shovel some snow -- but don't forget you need to take care of you! After shoveling use some hot cocoa as an excuse to get off your feet at least for awhile. I'll bet the kidlets like hot cocoa.

Knees aren't feeling much better today but hey, they should be tomorrow! Between having to make doubles of everything for the kiddies two Valentine's parties and the snow...knees are protesting. Really thought this was over with but guess not...live and learn as my Dad used to say!!!

Happy Valentines Day to all....

Exhaustion! My new companion! I know I do too much but frankly I have too...the snowstorms and blizzards we have had here in the past 3 weeks and still more to come this week, I have done all the shoveling we need to get done and then I am outside with the kiddies so they can enjoy sledding and just playing in the snow...I come in and have to do all that is required to do inside as well...I am just tired! Add to that the stress of the unknown, I found a lump in my son's neck, took him to the doctor and she found four more...they are all together so she says this isn't something I need to worry about because he could have had a viral infection and his lymph nodes to go back...he was sick a couple of times during Christmas that was most likely a viral thing...there has been a viral virus going around. Until we are sure what it is I am going to be stressed....he will be seeing a pediatrician as soon as we can get the appointment!

My left knee has been acting up again when I am walking, I get a sharp stabbing pain on the medial side where I had the partial, I remember back to the summer when I was experiencing the same thing...only this time its worse. The right knee, is awesome except for when I push it too hard, however the recovery time is measured in hours now and not days, yay!

Oh Tessa, I'm so sorry for all your stress! It's not bad enough you're trying to recover from surgery and get back to regular life and now you've got this added worry. I'm sending lots of prayers your way honey not to mention kudos for being such a great mom. I don't know that I'd have shoveled snow AND played outside with the kids on top of it! Take care of yourself and that wonderful little family of yours. I'm crossing fingers, toes and eyes PLUS praying that your doctor is right and there's nothing to worry about with your son!

Well Hello Just!

Just, when you thought I had disappeared, here I am! :yahoo: I know why your knees hurt and make noises. It is the same reason that BJ and I faced early in recovery, and I still face!

You don't know the meaning of rest and relax, o you are running and gunning! Your knees are boss though, and this is the message they give to anyone who can't seem to slow down a little.

"Hello, I am your knee! Remember me? I was invaded, cut up, sawed on, and had metal put in place of me. Now the bones and ligaments and muscles around me are whining and complaining when I was the one who was sacrificed and thrown out like old furniture! Oh well! I left instructions behind to that metal thing that you now call your knee, and it is carrying out my diabolical plan to make sure that either you rest, ice, and elevate or "Metallica" as I have named that piece of metal will remind you whose boss. Between me and you, I know of this hardheaded albeit shy woman named Sonja, who keeps thinking that she is in control. I do funny tricks for her to remind her that she's not. Perhaps you should remember the two rascals BJ and Sonja and learn from them. I have taught them a thing or two!

Signed "Metallica"

Thank you Lori.....more snow on the way for tomorrow and overnight here, time to get the 'ole shovel out again, lol! My son's b-day party is on Sunday afternoon, so we have been out getting things for that as well. His birthday is on the 26th, he will be 4 years old.

RestAssured Thought I was gonna slip that one under your radar, ! I have searched my lexicon for the words rest and relaxation, they aren't there!

I will (maybe) reply to the letter later, just had a truck load of wood delivered and I need to go stow that in before the freezing rain hits...(I'm not kidding, this is true)...lol!

Tessa, regardless of what Sonja says, she has no idea what rest and relaxation are either!!

I gave my knee a good try out this evening....I stepped out of the van onto our (wet) ramp and down I went, right onto my left knee!! :yikes: My knee bent as far as a knee could bend, my heel touched my butt and something in the back of my knee went POP! It hurt like holy heck and my 8 year old got such a scare and then wanted to help me...I sucked it up, got up and moved on. (I forget my keys and was on my way back inside to get them). I got my keys and went to the grocery store as was the plan and now I am here, icing and hurting. Hope that tomorrow all is well and no harm done....

Tessa, wait, wait wait, if I'm counting right this is the second time that you have slipped while getting out of the van! Please try and be careful, because we really, really care and if you're going to follow in Sonja's footsteps, you could be in for a long, hard road to recovery! I know it's a challenge, and everyone loves a challenge, but can't we do it with fun stuff, please! Stay safe kiddo! :thumb:

Jacky48 Yep, you are correct that this is the second time I fell this time though the ramp was wet and slippery. I do like a challenge but I am thinking it would be just too much reaching the great heights that Sonja has, she may have put it out of reach for me and many more...lol!

I am trying to stay safe and careful, thinking though that may be my problem, I am being too careful. Thanks Jacky :)

Oh, you two are a mess! Anyone can be patient like I am! :happydance:

It just takes patience, the self assurance, and of course humility! :happydance:

By the way if you would quit trying to slip under my radar, you wouldn't fall! :rotfl:
