Hinged Joint Revision Complete, recovery continues

Hi Pumpkin, wishing you all the best for tomorrow, you definitely deserve it. You really support all us bonesmarties with your advice and kindness.

Best of luck Pumpkin . The surgery will be over before you know it . You have waited a long time and we are praying all goes well with your surgery and recovery . You know the drill for after the surgery, no sense repeating them to you , as they are engraved in your head. Are you going to a revision specialist ??? Well , keep us posted after the surgery, try to get a good night sleep tonight. Best wishes. Iceman

@patient 99 ,
Nervous, and anxious to have this behind me. Looking forward to an uneventful recovery, and being able to return to the activities that I love.
And I will be glad to have this over, cause my Mom calls every day 2 to 3x, she is even more nervous and anxious than I am. She has been and always will be a chronic worrier.

Yes I am going to a revision specialist, he does 350+ revisions a year, so I am very confident in his abilities.
He used to be at UCSF, and moved 30 miles south of where I live, I feel very fortunate to have had him drop into my lap so to speak.

Just noticed that your surgery is tomorrow, so wanted to add my good wishes for a great outcome and speedy recovery.

Hi Pumpkin, just dropping by to wish you the best with your revision. I am almost two years out with my revision which was great, also had a very experienced revisionist ( originaly from Stanford Univ.) and he believed in the bonesmart mantra, no PT till the 4th week, just gentle heel slides and stretches, and even after just gentle PT. It was a wonderful recovery, wishing the same for you.

I want to wish you the best of luck. The kids want to have a party for your kid when you are up to it. Do you know if its going to be a girl or boy? Well by tomorrow we will know. all of us will be thinking of you today and tomorrow. Take care. Tashia

Thank you for all the wonderful well wishes!
I am as ready as I can be, already braceleted, and blood typed for tomorrows revision. Now to :sleep:, and be ready for tomorrow!

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow and sending my good vibes and thoughts for you. I am so happy that finally you will get to see what your TKR should feel like!! Good luck!! :thumb:
