Revision TKR Revision again

@Josephine now that I am a week out from the mua, when is the recommended time to start pt?
I really just want to get to the bottom of this on why I am not recovering properly.
Pat, I have told you repeatedly, DON'T do any PT or exercising. It's possible that's why you are in the condition you are in right now. There is nothing 'wrong' with your knee other than it's protesting by swelling and getting stiff.

I do have an appointment with my orthopedic office Wednesday I am going to request an MRI be done. If implant isn't sitting correctly definitely want to know for sure.
an MRI won't show anything than cannot be seen in a straight xray. Don't waste your money.

Just left orthopedic. We are gonna try the jas system for my knee. We are stopping pt for now. He gave me a muscle relaxer to help relax my muscle.

I'm not convinced that the JAS system will work for your knee. It's one more way of forcing your knee to bend, which will just upset the inflamed and upset tissues even more.

Do go ahead with looking for a second opinion.
There's no point in struggling to increase ROM if there is something wrong with the way your knee replacement was done.

Do you have a copy of your x-ray or even a photo of the x-ray?

I'm not convinced that the JAS system will work for your knee.
Neither am I. Why is it these doctors have to go for the "we must do something - this is something, let's do it" approach! They never seem to go for the opposite approach which is to do nothing! Still, at least he's let you off the hook for the PT/exercising. You ARE going to comply with that, aren't you?

Yes I am not going to pt anymore . I will give this system a try it won't be forcing it as it's at my pace . I have used it before

Karri I will upload it when I get home

I did just see my dermatologist he stated my psoriasis may possibly be interacting with scar tissue because I been off my stelara .

Just got home from seeing specialist. He thinks I need a revision. Said because early on infection, he thinks joint is infected. I told him I feel fine. Sending me to a revision specialist that specializes in younger patients. So over this :(

I understand your being so over this, but am glad you are going to see a revision specialist who specializes in younger TKR's.
If in fact you have an infection, that will need to be dealt first.
Keep us posted on how you are doing.

I agree with Pumpkin, if you have an infection that has to be taken care of first! Are you going to an infection doctor in the future?

If an infection is there you'll also need an infectious disease dr. In fact an ID can order blood work which can tell if your body is fighting an infection. Not everyone suffers the same symptoms of infection. For instance, I had a high fever and massive seeping from a closed incision, but others didn't have either of those symptoms. Don't take any antibiotics until cultures are taken to be analyzed by the ID. Infections are sensitive to different types of antibiotics.

I know how terrible it is to still be dealing with all this, but the most important thing is get the correct diagnosis, not necessarily the easiest. The correct one will eventually give you your life back. Who is the dr and do you have an appointment yet?

I have had an ID Dr since surgery, Dr Manikal. I see him Monday so they can run some test.

I think that's good. Why did you need an ID doctor early on? Was anything said about the tracking probl m you mentioned?

I'm so glad you're seeing an ID. Please let us know what's going on with you.

I got cellulitis 4 days post op so the ID Dr took care of me. As in tracking he said it looks fine - must have been way X-ray was taken. He also said he don't know why my Dr put the implant in that he did. On Monday the Dr said he will call me personally because he is gonna try to get me into Mayo Clinic sooner. There is a specialist there that deals with the issues I had before surgery and revision. Will definitely keep all you knee warriors updated

I sure hope he can get you in earlier.

I'm glad you're going to Mayo Clinic. They are the experts and can hopefully help you, Pat.

I sure hope so . I'm only 34 years old and very active . This really sucks . But u guys make everything easier :)

If he really is a revision specialist, then he will know what he's talking about. Overall, I would tend to agree with him. Such a pity you didn't get to see him before the two MUAs.

Now that's more like it!!

The quad is real painful like it was ripped or something.
Yes, indeed. You should look at this xray (which is my knee!). The resolution was so good it shoes all the soft tissues so I was able to draw red lines where the adhesions can occur. And the other image is showing how adhesions (white strands) occur in the detail. I thinks it's quite revealing

You know, I totally forgot you had psoriasis! That would be the reason for this strange skin lesions on your wound! But I really don't think this would be connected with your present problems!
