Hi, Well you must have been feeling good if you thought you could step on to a stool with your operated leg.
I do hope you rest and take it easy on that poor knee for a few days. SWMBO should get one of the lads in from the garage to watch you and knock you on the head if required.:rotfl: She may feel like doing it herself! By the way how was the staple removal? I'm assuming it wasn't too bad. There has been no word from Puffin or Diana yet but it is early days since their surgery.
I have been very busy this last few days and feeling a little under the weather to boot. hopefully I will be able to give the problem of the husky lads some due attention tomorrow.I do hope you are still able to keep them under control. :) Well I'm off to bed to try and get myself back to normal or as normal as I get. :snork: Do give that knee time to recover and then treat it gently for a while . It will be nicer to you if you do.

Episode 7, The Warriors' Return. ( Based on an idea suggested by RestAssured, Forum Advisor of this parish).
SWMBO and I had hoped to train up The Lads so that we could bring them around to schools, family occasions, birthday parties and the like, as an educational resource; the fees they earned would be kept by themselves after paying me a small sum for the use of my car and me for transport. I felt this would be great training in commerce and the profit motive for them, but they hammered that idea on the head when they went to a different type of party and learned about several types of drink, swimmimg pools, loud music and women , not necessarily in that order, on two consecutive nights, returning home at dawn each time. I felt that the target market wouldn't touch them now with a 40 foot pole, and after a while we hit on the idea of using their new talents to earn their living----showdancing in ladies' clubs, wearing leather thongs and little else except long flowing silk capes to arrive in. They already knew that for some reason ladies en masse seemed to like them, (and vice versa) , and they had an appetite for late hours. So we invested some cash in 7 leather thongs and 7 silk capes, confident of a good return on the investment. They were a bit leery at first about wearing the thongs, thinking them highly improper for warriors, but when we pointed out that, should the ladies wish to tuck money into their possession, where else could they tuck it? On the first night we got three bookings and headed off in the car. They made their entrances amid the female equivalent of a-whoopin' and a-hollerin, falsetto shouts of "gerrem off!" and "PHROOAAAGGGHHHH", and, after their half-hour, emerged flushed, energised and ready for the next venue. They gave me their fee to mind, which after three venues amounted to 3000 dollars. We headed homewards until we hit a city centre traffic jam and were forced to stop. The Lads were fascinated at the sight of all these people, and one of the Warriors, actually it was Bunzastele their spokesman, spotted a steady stream of ladies pouring into the Town Hall. Unfortunately, they interpreted this to be another venue, piled out of the car before I could stop them and ran into the Hall, scattering screaming ladies in all directions. At this point the jam cleared and I had to drive on . I found a parking space after ten minutes and ran back as fast as I could to the Hall, to find an enraged mob of ladies surrounding my seven heroes out on the street, battering them with umbrellas, and three wagonloads of armed police arriving. The Lads were unceremoniously piled into a wagon, it taking several burly police officers to handle each one, helped by umbrella-poking examples of female outrage, and took them down to the police station. As they drove off I saw for the first time the large notice outside the Town Hall. It read " All Night Vigil To Protest Sexual Licentiousness. All Ladies Welcome". I ran down to the stationhouse, just in time to hear "On the spot fine for public disorder, 3000 dollars. Next!". And this story is not a word of a lie...

Hi Myway. The Muscular Septet are going to be a bit you-know- what tomorow after I give them an earache!
The staple removal was quite pleasant actually but nobody believes me. I will follow your advice about the knee and what it can and can't do and watch it a bit more carefully in future, maybe I needed to get a fright. I'm very sorry to hear you were poorly but I do hope it is passed. Sleep well. Joe

Oh, my gosh, those ladies didn't know what they were missing!!! No wonder they're cranky!!

I woulda thunk Bunsofsteel would have softened those ladies hearts in a fast hurry! What in the world were they thinking?!!! :happydance: :rotfl: :heehee: :rofsign: :yes!: :iagree:

Well, I am glad to see you tried out my idea! My painfully shy self, is working on cracking her shell!

Can you get them lads ready for me hoolie on Achil isle please?
I think they will fit very well.

What fun. Sorry you didn't get to keep the 3,000 for the next party.

Hopper, I'd be worried if they did turn up because, as soon as they'd crash in the door (these guys don't "walk" or even "mosey", they Crash), the ceilidh dancing would immediately stop in mid-twirl or mid -throw, pint glasses of foaming native beer would stop in the trip from counter to mouth, mouths would hang open all over the gaff and then all hell would break loose because The Lads would be recognised as genuine aliens. triggering real fear in the hearts of these gentle fisherfolk. Then I'm afraid that you'd find yourself deeply involved because The Lads would look around and spot you , remember that party involving pina colada and swimming pools and worse, and they would sweep all before them in a mad rush to greet and embrace you, adopt you as their guide for the night and probably all try to sit on your knee at the same time in a show of affection, which would do no good at all to your new prosthesis. The mind boggles... Oh Hopper, just in case they DO turn up, PLEASE wear a headscarf, crash-helmet and RayBans , and try to hide your accent if talking to them. Oh dear oh dear, more worry...

turtle68, you're not half as sorry as I am!! But I'm working on a possible scheme to get my loot---sorry, investment back!

What have you people done to my " Muscular Warriors"? :yikes: I was talking to the nurse at my hospital
& she would like to hire a few to up-lift the mood of the middle-aged women who have had their parts
removed :console2:Meds are kicking in now..........., ice, elevate

Diana

It sure sounds like the nurses at Diana's hospital could use a couple of those warriors.
Dorothy

Now Diana & Dorothy, there is no kneed for that kind of talk. No kneed, geddit??

How's the knee today? You've behaved I trust! Well, I googled "Paddy" and as I suspected it's demon alcohol! I've found myself under it's spell a time or two. Just hadn't heard it called by that name before. I think you had better get the lads under control before Diana gets back on her two feet.:heehee:
I'm still not really feeling great but improving. Bless the little darlings at work who come to school when they are sick. I will get them back for this!:snork:

I understand. I too have been sickened by my students in my time. But at exam time...
Knee slowly mending after the wrench I gave it.

Hey Joe, hope the knee recovers quickly from your escapades with the stool. I was just wondering what do the magnificent 7 think of television?

Hello Joe,
I would like to address my share of the profits. :ok:Now as you have seen, I am responsible
for the up-keep of the lads "Image" :yahoo:After what Josephine did to them, it took me a long time
to get their mental-image out of my mind. I had to go speak to a "special" doctor, Look up the
correct image & wait for my computer-savvy son to help me with my final vision of what these
fine lads should look like :happydance:
I do apprieciate (sp) (damn drugs) you & S.W.M.B.O boarding & feeding the gents  So, I think it fair,
70-30%.
Talk it over with S.W.M.B.O & remember: I will be out of work for a few months & don't get paid
(part time)
I'm thinking we can set up a visit to the white house with the lads, so show them how to use the proper
utensils :heehee: Save the "other " utensils for the post-op- party :rotfl:
Hope your doing well today !!!!!
Sincerely,
Diana

Jo - i think i will be fine with the lads - remember I've pals in Ballymun! Could you perhaps tie their legs together. I've got a cycling helmet and bover boots ready to highland fling with if need be. :yes!:
The accent can be strong Geordie if required - it can put fear into the hearts of most lads if used correctly. I managed it in Ballymun most of the time. Although it didnt deter putting the ponies in the lifts. :scary:
I think maybe there is wind of Diana's plan for the White House - and that's why they are closing it to visitors! :)
