Hip Infection* problem

Good week, full of adventure! Yep another uti, very strange that it affects my hip, never ever had one before now 2 in 2 weeks more antibiotics! Anyway a few garden centre walks to keep my limbs nimble as I walk more it gets easier, but the best thing for me is the water I feel weightless, no pain and I can walk! and it makes me feel fantastic. Saw my own Dr tonight, unfortunately my other knee is like a football, I knew it couldn't last poor thing has done so much work for me,i.t will have to be replaced but I shall hold on as long as possible. Snow is coming this weekend as well as spring, I am going to do some spring pots, I must be feeling better, im quite excited about doing this. Have a wonderful weekend everyone.xx

So happy you are so positive still with all of your setbacks and aggravations.
What an inspiring member you are!
Hope your spring pots cheer you!

Sorry about those UTI's @clodaghcov How annoying that must be :hairpulling:
Hope you can enjoy more garden center and pool walks soon.

I can imagine wanting to wait on the knee, you're dealing with enough.

Snow and Spring  seems like it shouldn't be. I'm starting to think Spring may never come :bored:
It's wonderful to think about planting Spring pots, grabbing back ahold of life and jumping in.
A great Spring and Summer to you!

I think I may be in trouble. My opposite knee is throbbing hard and the size of a football,my gp has told me as I already knew its had it! He has spoken to my surgeon and gp is going to aspirate and as long as no infection will inject steroid. I saw physio yesterday, who will not touch it until all bloods are done, she doesn't like that it was so sudden,so swollen and very hot, so tomorrow we start again---bloods tomorrow and we will wait........ My new hip side has now to be my main leader leg so things are changing but im still walking on the water and potting my seedlings, but, I am very worried.xx

Mt bloods are not good, crp from 9 to 47 plus platlets wcc and plasma v all up, the feeling is an infection in my opposite knee. S eeing comsultant on Tuesday for aspiration, I so hope this can be sorted easily. Have a great weekend everyonex

All the best on Tuesday! Please update when you can!

Aww....dear, @clodaghcov I'm sorry. This feels so unfair.
Prayers for the best possible outcome as well as for comfort and peace of mind.
Please stay in touch. We're here to support you.
Sending hugs :console2:

I am praying all turns around soon for you. :praying:
I'm sorry you are having such a time of it all.:console2:

I saw my consultant last night, my crp has dropped to 14 and the others are the same. I had my hips and knee xrayed---My kneecap has displaced and is sitting on the side of my knee, I have had it aspirated and had a steroid injection. The idea is I will see him in 5weeks and we will monitor until I cant stand the pain, then a new knee, and will also need the other hip doing. I am going to try not to think about it, it could have been worse,he used your words---don't hurry with your hip, gently and slowly!! I really want to get to January before I have to face more surgery, but there are lots of people facing so many things in their life---life is a journey for us all. Thank you for your kindness to me. Take care all of youxxx

I am so sorry to read this @clodaghcov
You've been through so much. You accept all of this adversity so graciously. You're an inspiration.
I pray for your comfort and perfect timing in scheduling surgery dates.
Stay in touch....we care!

Bionic one, you will be.
I know you are weary of recovering...we are rooting for you.
Sending healing mojo and good wishes your way !:console2:

Well after a lovely morning in the greenhouse, I went to get changed for a funeral, sat down and my hip dislocated, I really couldn't believe it, after my consultant spoke to my local hospital, I have been to theatre and its back in situ, what an adventure, home tomorrow with 3 weeks in a tennis splint, definitely lots of chocolate for easterxxx

What?! Oh my! And just like that?
I am catching up on everyone's threads today and it seems one thing after another.
Take it easy -do you have the precautions start all over again?

Oh my life. How scary for you. Glad that it’s now back in place. I hope you are able to get a good night sleep.

Oh my word! I'm so sorry @clodaghcov
You take everything in stride which constantly has me in awe!
I think you deserve lots of chocolate after that scary event.
Prayers it stays put and for your comfort.
Hope your Easter is peaceful. Hugs :console2:

@clodaghcov Omg, so sorry that happened to you. This recovery is not for the faint of heart. Definitely calls for a lot of chocolate! I hope you're better soon! :friends:
