Hip Infection* problem

Fingers crossed on the antibiotic :fingersx:
Hope you're all better very soon.
A peaceful relaxing evening to you!
@clodaghcov

Thank you so much, yes I am feeling better, why didn't I go to the dr sooner or guess it was a urine infection!I really should have known better having worked for a doctor!! Enjoy the coming weekend, its v v cold here again.xxx

Went for my 6 week check on Thursday, my consultant is away lecturing, saw reg who was not in my surgery, first thing he said was---still on 2 crutches at 6 weeks, explained I had pain on full weight bearing, says do lots of exercise--came home feeling rotten but xray was perfect!, ditched the one crutch and boy pain plus, so have reverted back to 2, no pain on sitting, icing---just putting weight is the problem, still on regular tramadol and co-dydramol---think I just have to be patient, that poor hip has had so much surgery. So hoping my crp will be lower this week.xx

Hi @clodaghcov
If I'm understanding right you're suffering pain and you were advised to continue exercising?
You've been through so much. Your poor leg was traumatized. It needs rest, it needs to heal.
I'd back off exercising until the pain settles, or you learn the cause. Consider tagging Josephine
for advice if it continues or is extremely bothersome.
Wishing you peace and comfort!

You know your body better than anyone. Hope you have a peaceful day. We are rooting for you.

Hi @clodaghcov
Wondering how you're doing so far this week?
Hopefully you're comfortable and the pain has lessened.
Let us know how you're doing when you have time.
A great rest of the week to you!

Hi @Layla

I am doing well, swopping with 1 or 2 crutches! depending on activities! My gluts are really weak, but only time will tell, I am just thankful to have got this far when I think of the past! It is bitterly cold and slippery so lots of caution needed.----hoping to start walking in the water next week! How are you doing? thank you for your kindnessxxx

Oh! @clodaghcov. . .I am hurting just reading about what you are going through. So very, very sorry for such a painful, worrisome experience. Healing hopes that you will be going hope with a good diagnosis very, very soon.

Hoping you have a Good Day and good weekend.
You've been through alot and I'm happy you are hanging tough!

OMG I hope things are going in the right direction for you!!! Pain is no fun. Feel better soon!

Hi @clodaghcov
I'm doing well, thanks for asking.

I hope you're doing well. I'd admire your strength and thankful spirit as you've been through so much.
It could easily cause a person to become bitter. But, nope, not our amazingly optimistic lady, clodaghcov!
What an inspiration you are after all of your longsuffering. I pray things continue progressing in a positive way for you. Please keep us posted. You have a large cheering squad to encourage you along the way.
Stay safe and warm. Sending love and hugs your way! :loveshwr: :friends:

Please don't worry about transitioning to 1 crutch. You will naturally do it when you are feeling stronger and more confident.

Meanwhile that registrar needs a reality check. I wonder if he even read your notes! There is no timeline for this recovery.

You are doing great!

Hi @clodaghcov
I hope your weekend is going well. Hopefully you've not had to venture out.
Keep reading of the bad weather you're experiencing across the pond.
Take it slow with the water walking, if you begin this week. Let us know how it goes.
Hope your week is peaceful, safe and warm!

Hi @Layla

It is wonderful to have green fields and no snow again, the dogs are at their happiest when they are racing around with their noses down a mole hole--life is so good to be enjoying these simple pleasures. I am feeling happy, my CRP is down to 9 from 115, which proves it was the kidney infection, I cant tell you how worried I was!
I drove yesterday for the first time and felt fine, using the 2 crutches but met some friends for lunch at a local garden centre--first time doing this for so long, I feel envigorated.

It is sore but nothing more, so tomorrow I shall try to walk just 1 length front ways and 1 backwards tomorrow in the water all being well. My glutes are absolute rubbish so its going to be slow going but now is the time to gently start.

Thank you for all your kindness, I am so relieved to have found you all--I think of those of you dealing with problems, I so know how it feels.xx

Hi @clodaghcov
You have such a grateful heart through all of this, I find myself in awe of you.

It is such wondeful news to read that your CRP dropped to the level it did. You must be so relieved.
I am pleased and happy for you also! :yes!: :yay:

It's wonderful you can drive to meet friends for lunch, taking part in something that revitalizes you.
I hope you find walking in the water tomorrow enjoyable and fulfilling.

You have such an attitude of gratitude that I can't wait for you to have this detour behind you
affording you the opportunity to live life to the fullest. Hold on.....it's coming :happydance:

Thanks for sharing your story. I hope you'll allow us to continue following your journey.
A wonderful rest of the week to you!

Onward and upward @clodaghcov ...hope all continues to go well.

I am feeling excited and cautious! I have been discharged from the Bone infection team!, they are happy, my crp is 9 which is so super, now I just have to get it to stay, I think I have another uti I shall see gp tomorrow, definitely it makes my hip ache!
I have been to the pool and really enjoyed it, lovely people abit astounded at the size of my scar! it is a big beast! I walked 2 lengths and it certainly loosened me up, so I shall be back a couple of days this week, I even popped round supermarket afterwards! Slow and sure thanks to all of your help, im not worried I still need two crutches, at least try not to!---actually I was glad to have 2 crutches walking round the pool it is so so slippy, eyes down all the time!! I hope you all had a happy weekend.xxx

Hi :hi:
Wonderful news....So very happy for you! Crutches are good, they're offering you extra stability.
Be careful around the pool, eyes down is good. It's great you enjoy your time there.
Hopefully you don't have a UTI....if you do I hope it clears quickly for you.
Thanks for updating, it's nice following your journey.
I hope your week is great
