Hip Infection* problem

Well im in trouble again, my hip dislocated on sunday just as I sat down on my high cushioned chair!. I have spent 2 days watching my thigh swell and look very purply bleeding under the skin. Today they took me to theatre and cannot get my hip back under mua, I am waiting to talk to them to decide what is best, my consultant in Birmingham is bitterly disappointed but ready if I am to be transferred over to him, the only thing I know is that it cannot stay like this, I am 3 ins short on my poorly hip. So very disappointed and upset over this and now just a waiting game, I hate to think of more surgery, but not sure what else will work! Will keep you updated on the next chapter. Hugs to you allxxx

@clodaghcov I am so sorry to read you dislocated! How very frustrating - let alone extremely painful. Please keep us updated. They obviously need to fix this so you can move again. Hang in there! We are with you all the way!

Oh no! @clodaghcov
Hugs and prayers for you! I hate to hear of this new dislocation. Did this happen with the brace on?
I know you are fearful of more surgery but it may be the only remedy going forward if something is amiss
With your implant. We are here for you!

Oh @clodaghcov I am so very sorry this had happened. It’s must be so distressing and painful for you. I hope they can sort this out quickly and you can progress with your recovery. You are in my thoughts and prayers

What in the world...?
I will be praying they get that hip stable!

Thinking of you....sending a hug :console2:
So sorry you're going through this...
@clodaghcov

Thank you everyone, I am waiting patiently while the bed manager is juggling beds, we all know how short they are, I did so hope I would have transfer today, but,its not looking likely, another day feels wasted I can use my crutches to the bathroom but really that's all, its more comfortable lying on the bed than chair, the prosthesis feels to be somewhere round my waist and the swelling is similar to when my spacer dislocated, all I can do is pop the pills and wait, trying to get absorbed into books but not easy at the moment. The muscles seem to be contracting madly and why not, nothing to hold them down poor body, but there must be a light round the corner, there just must be.xxx

Oh I am so sorry to hear you are still waiting. I went through a long wait in hospital about 2 years ago and it really is mega stressful. I can't imagine being stuck in bed during all this. I was pacing the floor constantly.

Fingers crossed that you get transferred tomorrow. Hang in there my friend!:console2:

Aww, @clodaghcov Its hard to read, I feel so bad for you.
I'm praying for your comfort as you wait. Please stay in touch.
Big hugs...

Waiting for the ambulance for transfer, assure me it will be today/night! I am trying to get my head round the thought of more surgery, I think I will have to have a new cup, it is so tight short and sore now, it just needs fixing, hopefully a few days and I will be on the way, seems to have been such a waste f 5 days, still lots worse, upward and onward. Hope you are all okxx

Wondering how you're doing today? @clodaghcov
You're often cheering on and lifting others in the midst of your own trials.
Praying for your comfort as you move forward. Hope you're having a decent day.
Wishing you a peaceful weekend - Hugs!

You are such a strong person...and I want so badly for this to be fixed and for really on the mend.
Piles of sympathy, hugs and best wishes:praying::loveshwr::console2:

Big hugs to you!

Clodaghcov, you’ve been waiting in hospital for ambulance transfer and you were encouraging me as a new forum member? What a selfless person you are! I always disliked the waiting. I wanted to get the surgery done and get home. Your positive attitude makes a huge difference. I listened to relaxing music during the hospital waiting. Was not allowed to eat or drink either and would get headaches. I would place a warm damp washcloth over my face and listen to pachebels cannon on Pandora. Praying for you!

Bless you all, I arrivedmidnight Thursday, and had surgery today, open reduction, but they got it back so pleased, Ithink it is probably the best of all options!, everything wearing off now, so sore, but, super doops 2 legs same length! AGAIN! 5 days antibs, drain etc, then hopefully home beeeeeautiful green support socks again, the saddest thing was the day after this happened I was to have my first pedicure for yonks I was so looking forward to seeing painted toenails once again!
Seriously need some sugar fix have a few biscuits stored for emergencies, do you think I could have them?

So so grateful to have you all as my helpers and friends, some times it is so much easier to write down rather than saying all these worries ups and down, keep kindly reminding my husband to please check greenhouse babies! I can only hope!

Hugsxxx
