@Josephine please don't worry about my previous question my wife has just had a light bulb moment - it was the wheelchair that I was using earlier this week so thanks anyway

Well I have been away for the weekend and only recently got home. We went down south for the opening of the photo exhibition that I mentioned in a much earlier post where I was to have two photos in (but ended with one photo) It was great to get away and we even managed to get a motel room with disabled access and that made it easier again (I even asked the owner this morning if I could take the bathroom home!)
So attached is a photo of myself with my lovely wife Raeleen and my photo is at the bottom on the left of the picture.

Thanks so much Chris @PuppyLove and Chrissie @Hoppy Nanny for your kind posts. It really was exciting to see our photo there and know that others appreciate our efforts photographically as well. AS far as the weekend away it was just the tonic we needed and will probably be our last 'escape' before my turn on the table.

@fulafoto "just the tonic you needed"?? is that like soda or a nice beverage?? lmfao hehehe :heehee::rotfl: Me giggling I love Aussies :) and they say Boston people talk funny lmfao :)....I am glad you had a super weekend, a change of scenery I believe does us all a world of good :).....I can't wait till you get your date....You will see me do a happy dance :):happydance::spin::dancy::egypdance::friends:

Bill, lovely photo of you. You have the most amazing smile!!! I bet you're going to use that to charm the heck out of the nurses!!! Glad you were able to have a bit of a getaway. It does wonders for the soul, doesn't it.

Thanks @Sue629 and that will be a beer for me :snork: and I thought it was you guys who talked funny :dubious: Thank you so much also for your kind wishes about my date. I haven't heard a thing from the hospital and thought I may just give them a call to check how things are going :chinstroke:

Thanks @Jamie and yes it does invigorate the soul so much and I will certainly work on charming those nurses :thumb:

Seriously thankyou so much @Sue629 - I appreciate your kind comments and wishes very much xx:):)

Just an update (that isn't an update I guess) I rang the hospital and got the same news - they will call me when they have a date for me..... Hope it wasn't a recorded message :heehee::heehee:

Hi, Bill. Just popping in to say glad you had a nice time away & a bit of a break from worrying & waiting. No date yet, I see. Grit your teeth & gird your loins (what the heck does that mean, anyway?) Lots of patience required here, as already exemplified by you. Keep your eye on the prize... It will eventually be yours.

Thanks @Jaycey and I fully intend to - I have changed that saying a slight bit to "the creaking hip gets oiled" :heehee:

Thanks for droppnig by Ellen @shrinkette and yes it was lovely to escape for a weekend :) With all this waiting I believe I am growing as a person in the patience stakes - I have never been a patient person however don't have much choice but to grin and bear it - as you say however victory will be mine eventually and that is my focus :)

I do hope that you get the call soon. Patience is not my favorite thing either. I would be calling every day at least. Take care. Tashia

Sorry for your wait, Bill. Patience is not one of my virtues, either. My son brought me a plant home from school for Mother's Day and said "sorry, mom, I don't know what kind it is." It is an Impatiens! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. We all got a good laugh out of that one!

Good morning Bill, @fulafoto - check this out.. I am now the proud owner of the...
