Hi @fulafoto, Bill what a blow! I hope you get news soon and can keep busy until you do. It seems an age to wait now but in the scheme of things it won't be too long...but I know it doesn't feel that way now.
I loved your photos , thanks for sharing- you really have a great gift for photography!
Also just want to add - remember to take lots of care of your psoriasis - I also have it mildly and know at times like this it can flare up... FYI I had patches on elbows before surgery and as it was dry they weren't concerned. Have good day keeping busy :D

Yes @Vetgirl Sally - I think a beer is in order tonight! I have one cold one in the fridge!
@Poppet thanks also - yes as I said to my wife - it is not something done lightly - all staff would have been arranged, theaters booked and prosthetics ready for the whole week so it is obviously a major kerfuffle for the hospital.
Thinking about others similar - one of my workmates had surgery cancelled twice, both times the day before for a major operation on a growth behind his ear so mine really does pale into insignificance compared to his.

Bill, @fulafoto I agree with your comment about your friend but we are allowed to feel sorry for ourselves.....so enjoy it.

We will kick you up the butt if you do it too long :heehee:
 
Now there is a positive thing. Let yourself have that beer, because if you would be getting the surgery you wouldn't be having it right? I wish I could have one tonight :cheers:
 
Oh Bill...so sorry to hear about the cancellation....just popped by to wish you good luck and saw your post. As you said there is a reason for everything although sometimes it's hard to find it. Just caught up with your beautiful christening photos...what a handsome chap your grandson is. Do hope you get a new date very soon....will drop by to see ( not been on BS as have a very bad chest infection for give weeks and feel very low at the moment....but I'm sure will pick it soon!). So sorry about the let down, Bill @fulafoto. I know how you feel---had to postpone my knee surgery because of shingles. Just takes all the air out of your sails.

Well I just got a phone call from the hospital - he cannot operate until July. Do I want to wait for him or start the process again and go with another surgeon - I told them I want a new hip and which way was likely to be quickest. They said that starting the process with another OS would be quickest and they will send me a letter.....

So that's my news for today :thud::thud:
 
Certainly the right choice. Im sure your in more pain then me but even for me I chose the earlier option.
